From what I see the art look minimalistic and there is a cool-looking CRT filter. I couldnt play yet cuz im on mobile, but im adding this to my collection. Love to see others make retro-styled games too!
Very interesting idea! Though I do find collecting the crystals a bit distracting; I ended up mostly avoiding them so I could focus on counting. Maybe if they were a bit easier to scoop up? Otherwise definitely one of the most unique games I’ve seen so far!
i feel like the crystals needed a bit more balancing, as i couldnt even afford the wings by round 12
I feel like spawning more, making things cost less, or giving the player more mobility (maybe letting you move up/down without changing the actual scroll?) would help it feel more doable
Nice, simple game (if you can count). Overall great experience!
Thank you! :)
Interesting game mechanic. I gotta say that there was definitely a sudden difficulty spike. Would have been nice to get slightly more slowly used to the counting. And making the gems also blue is a weird choice in my opinion, unless it was your intention to have them be easily confused with the blue arrows.
Thank you! Yeah probably a poor choice to make the crystals blue also... was going for minimal. I think it would've been confusing regardless of colour though, so maybe should've removed them entirely from non-collection levels
My memory is trash, so it was kinda hard for me. I also found the jump sound oddly satisfying. I was kinda shocked when the shopkeeper dissed me; that was a cool little detail. Overall, nice simple game :D
Haha thank you! Yeah difficulty may need some tuning
This is so cool ! Art is simple but it works, sounds and concept are cool too ! You did a really great job
Thank you so much! :)
I like the simplicity of it! The sprite animations look very clean and the sound effects were nice and satisfying!I did get a little stuck figuring out the controls at first, I think if you added some keyboard controls for the buttons that would be nice. I also liked the sassy shop keeper lmao.
Thank you so much! Glad the shopkeeper is being appreciated haha
It took me a while to figure out the controls because I didn’t realize I needed to use the mouse, but once I did, I enjoyed it.
Thanks for the feedback! A few people have said this lol, probably should've added keyboard controls too
Overall great game, perhaps my favourite out of the ones I've rated, simply due to the clever use of the theme! Got a bit dazed by level 10, but other than that, its nice, intuitive, audios great, polish is fantastic, love it!!
Haha thank you so much!
Nice concept to use for the jam's theme. It's quite difficult to get the shards so the items are actually pretty costly. Counting the actual arrows get super difficult and I just end up estimating which somehow is correct most of the time. Still a lot of polish went into this! It's a fun experience.
Thank you!
Nice game! I found it kinda tough to pick up the shards on the way down, and eventually perished to my short term memory, but it's an interesting interpretation of the theme.
Thank you! Yeah it can get difficult, really depends on the arrow distributions and strategies you use
Neat game! I love how the gems are used to buy upgrades but that they distract you from counting.
Thank you! Yeah, that's why I added the collection levels, though maybe should've removed the crystals from normal levels...
oh my word it looks so polished! i really like the implicity of the animation when you lose xD
Haha thank you! Glad you caught onto the death animation lol
Really polished! I loved how the shop guy reacted to your actions. It took me a bit to figure out how to change the counter, though. Nice work!
Thank you so much! Yeah a few people have mentioned that
A nice unique twist on the theme. I like it.
Thank you!
Really cool game ! The mechanic was really interesting and fun, loved playing it.
Thank you so much!
This is incredibly polished, and fits the theme in a unique and not boring way, good job :)
Thank you! Yeah decent amount of time was spent on the movement/squish etc and aesthetics
it shows
Very good looking game , great concept too. Keep up the good work
Thank you!
Cool concept. Didn't understand that I needed to click with the mouse at first.
Thank you! Yeah I've had a few people say that, was going for minimal, maybe went a bit too much
