Really creative idea you've got there, I love the art style and the narrative of the game. Avoiding those sharks is difficult while in submarine, but the game is fun and enjoyable. Great work!

Thanks so much for playing, and glad you liked it!

Was a lot of fun to play! A bit unforgiving, but that just adds to the retro feel. What I WOULD have liked is a tracker how many feathers are still missing so I know when I got them all. Also the aiming with the torpedos is hell. Kinda got stuck at level 4 though. Not sure how to get through the 1 tiles vertical hole to the pressure plate.

Thank you for playing, and glad you enjoyed!

I will revise after the rating period to make it a little less brutal.

A feather counter is a good idea--I'll definitely implement that.

I'll also update the way the torpedoes work. Originally, you could aim them 180 degrees, but I wasn't quite happy with that, so I scrapped it at the last minute for a simpler system that... also doesn't quite work.

As for that pressure plate, I think it's actually in Level 5. The answer is... perhaps you don't have to hit the plate yourself, with your submarine. Perhaps something can just fall onto it. ;)

Ohh, guess I'm just dumb lol

I think dracula in a submarine catching feathers wasn't  in anyones bingo card hahahha I love the idea, super creative. I really like the level design and how the challenges keep getting better. The submarine controls feel so smooth. Really well done, great job!

Cool take on the theme.

nice gameplay and sounds

Good style and sound! Hilarious that Dracula just owns a submarine now. Not only that, but 3 different ways this is a count down is clever.

Developer

Thanks, so glad you enjoyed it! I'm glad you appreciated the triple interpretation. If I'd been able to think of a fourth one, I would have found a way to crowbar that in, too. ;)

Too many Draculas at the jam :)

But this game is definitely better than most.

While the idea is strange, it fits the jam theme well.

The colliders are a bit wonky.

Overall, it plays well.

Developer

Great, now I have Flight of the Concords stuck in my head. Too many Dracs at the game jam! Too many Dracs at the game jam!

Glad you enjoyed. Yep, the colliders need some refinement. I'll be working on them after the rating period.

Thank you for playing and commenting!

Fun, creative and hilarious idea, surrounded by a pleasant artstyle and a nice game. I did have quite a few problems with the topedoes hitting anything but the enemies in one block tall corridors, but doesn't make me think any less of this game. Love the whole idea and had fun playing it!

Developer

Thank you for playing and commenting! These colliders, yes, they need work. I'll be doing some tweaks after the game jam. So happy you had fun. :)

very good art style! the music, character and enemy designs are very well made, the concept is very simple but executed beautifully! 5/5!

I liked the speed of the ship and the monsters. It felt really nice dodging them, timing torpedoes on walls to kill both the wall and the monster inside. I am not sure what I am supposed to do with the pressure though, as I hit a level, where when I dive down, there is nothing I can do about the pressure. Maybe I didn’t explore enough, to find what I am supposed to do (like in metroidvania type games).

Developer(+1)

Thanks for checking it out, glad you enjoyed!

The pressure gauge shows you how deep you are. By default, going below 300 ft damages your hull. In Level 3, you have to cross an area below crush depth to collect feathers, get through to the other side and rise again. In Level 4, you can pick up a pearl to upgrade your hull to dive deeper. In Level 5, you can pick up more pearls and allow your sub to go even deeper.

Love the theme and the music! Hope you develop this idea further, congrats on completing the game jam!

I never know how *desperately* I wanted a Dracula-themed submarine before this. Well done! I found it pretty hard, so I couldn't finish it. A difficulty setting would've been really nice since I really enjoyed it.

Thank you for your kind words. :) I'll look into a difficulty setting when I rework this after the rating period.

Certainly the most creative Dracula game I've seen so far in this gam! Good fun and zany story, really liked it.

Thank you for playing, and for your kind words.

SOOOOOO much text to read lmao. Also the art is ridiculously well done for the time period of the jam, the polish is perfect. Great job bud

Thanks so much for checking it out!

I like reading. :)

Super cute game. I love the triple nod to the theme! Some of the areas felt a little unfair but I think that's the nature of a game made in 4 days. Great work!

Developer

Thanks so much for checking it out and rating! I do plan to iron out some of the most unfair moments after the jam.

Reminded me of this scary game I played as a kid with a helicopter, creepy vibe and unsettling music. Was a vibe for sure! Nice job. ♥️

Developer

Thank you for checking it out, I really appreciate it. If you remember the name of the helicopter game, I'd be curious to know it.

Nice game! I enjoyed the little introduction at the beginning and the story behind it. Sometimes my fat ship body wouldn't fit in certain areas which made movement a little more difficult, but I did enjoy the gameplay additions as you progress ^^

Developer

Glad you enjoyed!

I'll be looking into tweaking the colliders after the rating period, though some of the difficulty (certainly not all) is intentional.

Really cool game!
