What a neat concept, I like the art and sounds too,! Good job on making a game for this jam!
So hard haha! I managed to beat it, but it did require such quick reflexes. Love the Baba is You-esque art style. Simple and minimalist in a perfect way
A lil tutorial to say you need to click per shield would be useful. My main issue is that you get so much less time to react if the number you need is the rightmost one.
Also it seemed that only 1 of the numbers was ever below your current one, so if you missed that, you went back up. The final countdown is fine though
Interesting concept.
Love this idea, it really challenged me on the higher difficulties! The multi-clicks were so tough haha. The simplistic art and music fits together really well, great job!
I found myself invested in this game a lot longer than initially anticipated, the game has a very addictive nature and very much flows especially at higher bpm's, although it took me a little while to understand how it worked properly I was enjoying it a lot after that point!
This was a neat game to play - but it would be nice to have a little guidance on how to play - took me a few tries, and the number being less than seemed obvious, but then it seemed like some numbers didn’t work. I’m not sure. But neat none the less. I adore the color palette and the feedback / feel was spot on. Felt really satisfying when I did get it right lol
It may or may not have taken me a second to realize that the game starts out by letting me pick the tempo lol, but after that it was pretty sick! Great reaction time game, I like that you can assume the last number is smaller if the others aren't, makes it satisfying to select it before it appears :)
This is some of the coolest art I've seen in this jam so far!! I love the simple color pallet. Nice game!
Thank you so much for the high praise!!
If you were curious, the colors are picked from "Apollo Palette" made by AdamCYounis.
I've recently started using that palette for pretty much every project I make.
I'm having a hard time understanding why sometimes it feels like I click on the lowest number but it gives me an error, might be a skill issue though!
Simple yet very interesting take on the theme, I could see myself playing this for a while when I figure out how to be good ^^
Thanks for the feedback and for playing! ^^
Did you notice that the numbers sometimes have "shields" that need to be broken before you can select them? Looking back, I probably should've added a clearer response when breaking a shield.
If the issue is not that, then it might be a bug I'm not aware of, yet!
Took me a moment to figure out how to play, but I figured it out without looking at the description. I like how this game looks a lot! The first time I made it to 1 and then fumbled back up to 50, but I counted to zero in the end :)
Very minimal and feels like trivia but with numbers, very cool, although I found menus and the timings of beats very confusing at the start
Interesting idea! Its good for trying to read multiple things at once
The gates/shields were a nice little touch that really added to the gameplay. The choice of sound effects was also quite nice, very crunchy and satisfying.
The bits of polish that helped gamefeel were really nice. You really can easily get into the flow of the game. unfortunately i have dyscalculia and am atrociously bad at it BUT I got under 200 one time and it's fully a skill issue. Great job and great pixel work!
