How does your game fit the theme?
Countdown clocks are physical tiles on the 2048 board. Players must merge and feed them the correct numbers before they reach zero, while each expired clock triggers a different consequence. As more clocks and locked tiles appear, the puzzle becomes an increasingly frantic race against several countdowns at once.

i think i have pllayed 2048 before but not much at all, so my experience here was mostly new :P
So.. as expected, the game (for me) was confusing xD
Im not good with soo many moving parts and keeping track of soo much stuff, but genuinely even then, i felt like i was getting better at it each run.
It took me a couple of tries to actually beat level 1 and never ended up beating level 2 :sob:
But still, it was quite fun to see where do i need to move quickly in order to survive
The different sprites for the different numbers, especially the one for 8 (which was what we needed) being so different instantly came to my attention even if i made it by mistake lmaoo
I also like how as you go on with elvels, that theres some new gimmick (atleast for level 2 :P, i cannot talk about later levels)
I said how im usually not good with keeping up with so much going on with each move, as that leads me to keep overthinking of the different possibilities and what the best move should be, but here there being an 8 second limit just removes that problem for me xD
i CANNOT wait to think if what im about to do is the best or even a good move, i just have to make it quickly
some move is better than no move
Overall, I really liked the game, the visuals REALLLY help out with the timer pressure, the music and sfx are also really cool!
I like. u guys did good :)
I love 2048, especcialy the remakes, great game :)
I loved it! I could see myself playing this game a lot on my pone and you added new and original gameplay it's really fun !! Once yo<u understand how to play it becomes extremely intuitive !
Really cool game! Had lots of fun playing it
This is really interesting! I've never been so stressed out by such a cute game lol
Clever idea to mix 2048 and timers on the board that you need to "feed" feels interasting and engaging!!! Well Done!
Cool game but shows that I suck at these type of games loll
The visual style is stunning! Your color palette really makes the game pop! Super polished jam game. Great job!
Pretty fun. I like the art.
All the unique mechanic puzzle blocks are a super interesting take on an old classic.
My biggest issue is that you have to move numbers into the special pieces, and moving the special pieces onto numbers doesn't work, it took me a bit to get used to, but it isn't exactly game breaking. Would be nice if it worked both ways though.
2048 is a game I thought I knew, and this version made me sweat it. It stays instant to pick up, but the timers turn every swipe into triage, and the tile personalities like the life, the mouth, and the seal give the board a character the original never had. A 2048 clone was one of my first ever Python projects, and my idea of automation back then was making it play itself by cycling through WASD on a loop. This one felt like a full-circle moment :)
Which penalty for letting a timer die took the longest to balance? I’d bet one of them went through a few nerfs.
creative, i really loved the idea
Well executed game, fantastic art. A great take on the theme and organic combination with the 2048 game, though a real-time clock with turn-based strategy thinking conflicts a bit and causes some pressure when playing. Overall nice work!
I suck at 2048 and under time pressure I performed even worse haha
Loved the art style and the unique twist on it, great job!
Interesting little game! :3
Super cute! I love all the baked good art. Alas, I suck so bad at this type of game lol.
Very nice variant of a popular puzzle, it really makes the game different when you have to take time into consideration xD. The graphics are really smooth and good looking, I enjoyed the experience :)
I will preface this by saying I am very bad at 2048, so 2048 with added constraints seemed to me like a hellish concept, but you managed to make it really fun! I think it's partly due to the art style and sound design which are really nice and help take the pressure off a little bit, and partly due to the fact that the rounds are so short that even if you lose one it's easy to get back in. Very good!
I think the concept of 2048 with more time pressure is good, but I do think the time is a bit strict. I think a more enjoyable approach would be to have shorter timer that fully reset with each sucessfull merge. It was still enjoyable though, and I liked the art
It's a fun concept but unfortunately slightly problematic in my opinion. My gameplay mostly resolved into just spamming wasd and hoping for the best, with some moments of attempting to target 8s to the life timer. So I think the timer removes most of the strategy the original game has. The game was very well made apart from that problem though.
