Really nice game!! The concept is just so great and I really liked the gameplay and the art!! One of the best games of the jam!!

Nice game, I see it becoming a fun and interesting clicker game, however I would really like to see maybe an auto-collect fuel upgrade, since it becomes so hard to refuel when theres 20+ enemies on screen.

Overall I had quite a bit of fun when playing, good job! :))

Nice one, just thought it takes a little long for the difficulty to become interesting. (like the early waves should get harder faster)

Developer

That's something I will implement, since I've never heard 'slow burn' outside the context of romance. I thought it was supposed to be something very slow that eventually explodes, but I may have gone too far on the slow part.

Thanks for the feedback!!!

Fair! Makes sense when you think of the theme.
It's only a suggestion, but if I was you, I'd put a cap/cooldown on the left click attack. With a slower start rate of fire, you could make even slow enemies become a threat, which would make fights more engaging early and make leveling up even more impactful.
Can also upgrade rate of fire as an upgrade. Just saying!

Since I started clicking I never stopped!!! May God have mercy upon us...

Not a bad little clicker! Just needs some balance and a bit more polish. For instance, the auto-shoot upgrade is useless. What I mean by this is that it's the same number of clicks to kill an enemy, regardless of if they've been hit by the campfire's shot, even early on, and the stacks don't add as much bonus as one would think. The game could also do with a few more visuals, like showing something coming from the fireplace when you attack.

Also the effects volume slider does not work. Can't vouch for the other options, didn't try.

Overall I'd say this has medium Gwizziness, veering on medium/high.

Developer

Thanks for feedback, I don't know why is not working the volume slide, since for me is working maybe it's a bug related to Godot  AudioStreamPolyphony and some web devices. IDK

Try changing the volume on the sound effects Bus rather than on the individual effects nodes.

Developer

This exactly what sliders is doing via, I made a Universal Audio Manager using AudioPolyphony in the AudioStreamPlayer Node, this is something not well commented in Godot and probably has some strange bug with web export, good to know for next time.

Hmm can't tell without looking at the code. It may be something as simple as the button up signal not firing on the slider to save the volume setting (or however you have it). A button for saving all settings at once might help, or saving all settings when you leave the menu.

Nice clicker, though it gets quite difficult at some point, it's hard to click on the enemies overlapping on the fuels.

Uff my finger hurts. Why are there so many clicking games in this game jam. It was fun though.

Developer

Well MAYBE I HAVE SOME ADDICTION WITH CLICKING (please help me), 1000+ hours with Coockie Clicker 💀💀💀

OH MY GOD!

Great game. You made a normal clicker a fairly interesting game. But from the minuses:

- Background graphics, it would be cool and more pleasant if the grass had a more textured texture

- Very loud sounds of hovering over buttons and clicking on enemies, and the sound volume settings didn't work for me.

Otherwise, a pleasant, addictive game. Good luck to you, keep it up.

Good balance and control. I like that I can upgrade my campfire!
