An excellent game, definitely one of my favorites from this jam. Congratulations on the amazing job!

How does your game fit the theme?
The game involves a clock that you have to manipulate every level to count down slightly further than before. In the meantime, various apocalyptic scenes play out in the background.

I am blown away with the quality of this game. I can't even put into words how much I enjoyed playing this! I completely lost track of time while playing!
This is such a creative idea, both in the context of the theme and just in general! I've never seen a game focused on manipulating an analog clock using the indivdual display segments, and it's executed so incredibly well! There were multiple ways to increase and decrease the amount of lighted segments and multiple ways to move them around, both within the individual number and between numbers. It was also the perfect amount of challenge; I never felt too lost on a puzzle, but I definitely had to work towards the solutions. When I finally figured out a puzzle, it felt amazing!
The atmosphere is also incredible! The art is really well made and complements the vibe perfectly. The music also really adds to the experience and narrative. This might be the best game I've played for this jam yet!
This was such an amazing game! I went through a few times to look exclusively at the gameplay, music and sound design, and art and story design. Everything was so cohesive and polished! I especially love the art style and how much it fits in with the narrative in the game. The lesson was so deep and I loved it so much! The music was great and I love the small details like clicking sounds and darkened highlights for each of the buttons. The gameplay was also a really unique take on the Jam's theme and puzzle games in general!
My only feedback would be to have a description for each of the cards somewhere. It took me a few tries before understanding what each card did. The symbols are every intuitive but it still takes a moment with some trial and error to fully understand them. A simple text box when you hover over the symbol would be amazing! Other than that though, I appreciated everything about this game and love all the little details and polish everywhere!
Wow! Thank you so much! It means a ton to us that you took the time to so thoroughly appreciate everything we put into this game. We all worked hard and it is such a compliment to have you pay attention to and appreciate that labour.
As a team we’re all pretty big fans of games that don’t feel obligated to explain everything and trust players to figure things out. That philosophy of game design is a bit difficult to implement perfectly, however, and we’re noticing not everything was quite as intuitive as we’d hoped. We most definitely have plans to help smooth out the experience of learning how all of the important concepts work in the game in the future. Glad you were able to figure everything out regardless.
Thanks again! Your heartfelt encouragement is so deeply appreciated.
I have no words to describe how well this game was made. Really entertaining and beautiful!
I got to the end! Very fun :D It's really impressive you made so many levels that all felt satisfying and reasonable to find an answer to. The game is quite long. And the art is really pretty too!
I really love puzzle games, and I had a lot on fun playing yours. That's a very original idea with a lot a cool mechanics. Congrats for your great work! 😄
Love everything about this game. The background art, the quotes, the sound effects, the puzzles. Takes too long unfortunately, I got stuck a few times, and had to stop after an hour (got to around 20:XX or so) to go do other things. But I enjoyed the journey!
wow! insanely creative! i don't think im smart / patient enough to finish this but seriously impressive puzzle mechanic. nice job!
I am really digging the artstyle! :O The mechanic also works really well with the premise. Such a great take. Too hard for me to play 'till the end but I greatly enjoy the experience.
Wow these get really challenging as you go on. This was a really unique puzzle game. Very creative! A very solid entry for this game jam.
Fantastic puzzle game! Such a unique take on the theme. I loved the backgrounds changing as I modified the clock, and the intermission text was really nice.
Great work. :)
Manipulating digital clock segments to advance the doomsday timer while watching the apocalyptic background evolve is such a brilliant and atmosphere packed puzzle design!
So far the most creative interpretation of the theme i've seen, sadly it was too hard for me, but that's probably a skill issue on my part.
Concept you've got here is pretty interesting and unique. The atmosphere is quite fascinating, and the visual design looks fabulous and is totally in sync with the audio. One of the best experiences I had in this jam, loved it.
Wow, what a neat game with great concept, nice visuals, excellent music and story.
Extremely creative interpretation of the theme and puzzles are great, really enjoyed it.
Great theme and atmosphere! The gameplay, art and audio all work together brilliantly to make this a very cohesive experience. The sense of progression that I got from slowly counting down the timer definitely kept me curious as to what's next. Some of my solutions left me with spare operations, I guess I must have found a more 'optimal' solution than the intended one.
Thanks so much! So happy you enjoyed it. The fact that it came out as cohesive as it did feel kind of crazy (I think to all of us!). I am still baffled at how hard all 6 members of the team worked and tapped into their own skill sets to make this thing come together. It's a rare thing when that many people manage to be able to be both creative and respectful to each other's ideas for a full 96 hours.
And good job finding the most optimal solutions! There were a few extra moves left in there (more or less by accident), but we're planning to polish things up a tad more after the jam.
Amazing game, I love puzzle games, and this one has simple rules that quickly turn into a really satisfying challenge. It took me a little while to fully understand the mechanic, but once it clicked, it became really engaging.
One small thing I noticed is that the contrast between some of the clock segments made them a bit hard to distinguish after looking at them for a while. Other than that, I had a great time. The level design and the way the story is told really stood out to me, very few games in the jam manage to combine those elements so well. Great job.
Great to hear that it worked for you!
The dreaded dim segments strike again! We all agree with that feedback. We had something a little different envisioned there that we did not quite get through. It was supposed to help solving, but it makes it harder. If this game goes to full status we'll definitely do a more to polish and improve this.
