Seems fun and well polished. Unfortunately, it freezes about 30 seconds in for me. I tried multiple times.

Developer (1 edit)

Sorry about that, that's a known bug! The first time a minigame is completed (whether you were successful or it ran out of time) the game freezes for a while. Every time I've tested it, the game will eventually unfreeze and never have any more problems, even after closing and reopening, but you never know with this type of bug. Thanks for giving it a try anyway!

I love this idea, really fun game, well done!

Thank you for playing!

I had a similar idea to this before going with something else, glad to see something very similar to what I envisioned! The game gets very hectic REAL quick - especially simon says and the car minigames at once - but I think that really adds to the experience. I wish some minigames had a few more variations, like the car minigame with a different race track, but I have no idea how catastrophically that would affect the rest of the games going off at the same time

Loved it!

Developer

Thank you for playing! I'm glad you found it fun! We ran out of time to add more variations to minigames, but if we make a post-jam version we'll definitely add more variety!

I've only played one game (survived 3 min, spent like 2 of them on 1 life lol) and I'm already hooked. Having to juggle between all the different minigames while trying to drive the damn car and react to the QTE was super engaging. If you ever decide to update it after the jam, doing something similar to Windowkill (also made in Godot!) where each minigame is its own actual window could be cool. Great job!

Developer

I'm glad you found it engaging! Upgrading this to have each minigame in it's own unique window would definitely be awesome! I'll look into it for sure!

We had a very similar idea before deciding to go with something else, love that you went through with it!

Excellent execution, this is a lot of fun!!

Developer

Thanks for playing! We were worried our idea would be too common for this theme, but I've only found one or two other games like ours. I'm really glad you had fun!

Really cool and fun game! I really liked the variantion of all the different minigames. I liked the car minigame especially in combination with other tasks. It was really difficult tho. Having 2 simon says active at the same time is really trippy and you get overwhelmed quick. But I really like that hecticness. I don't know how some of those guys on the leaderboard got above 15000 tho, thats insane.

Developer

I'm glad you liked it! Simon says is definitely the hardest one, especially multiple at once! My favorite is also the car! (although funnily enough a lot of people found it as their least favorite). I'm glad you found the chaos fun instead of too overwhelming! Thank you for playing!

This was hectic, but a lot of fun! At first, I thought this was just going to be a simple, Warioware type of game - but I realised as soon as multiple windows popped up what the twist was. Good stuff!

Also, thanks for providing a Linux build!

Developer(+1)

I'm glad you liked it! We definitely had warioware inspirations, but we didn't want it to get boring only doing one task at a time, especially since we didn't have enough time for a big enough variety of minigames to justify only one at a time. I'm glad the Linux build was useful as well!

Submitted

Haha, this was great fun! Loved the old-school look. Thanks for including a Linux build even though this was mainly about "WINDOWS". :) Well done!

This was an absolute blast! I love how it uses your actual computer screen as a display and how chaotic it gets, but doesn't get annoying (like actual pop up ads). That race car one can drive off into the distance, though :P Super fun, love that you can do multiple minigames at once to make it not so punishing. Great game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your review! Part of the initial idea was the ability to do multiple minigames at once; we really tried to emphasize the multitasking. We also didn't want it to be too annoying, so I'm glad you didn't think it was! Thanks for playing!!

Submitted

Very fun and overstimulating when I had to start doing the tasks simultaneously, when i would get the rythm for the racing one and do it while doing whatever else pops up, like the simon one. Simon completely screwed me over when there were like 3 of them at once. And it was really funny when more and more and more tasks just kept piling filling my screen. Adding to "gems" collection 🔥

Developer(+1)

Yeah, you definitely have to complete simon says quickly to avoid letting them pile up! We're honored to be a part of your collection!

So stressful but so fun. I loved That the popups were all in their own window.

Developer

I'm glad you liked it!

Nice game, a good variety of tasks. It felt pretty easy at first, but then I screwed up the simon says minigame a few times and the game just kept piling on more and more tasks and I couldn't keep up, which makes for some hectic but fun challenge to try and salvage the situation! Would be nice with some more variations on some of the minigames, like the mouse dragging one and the one with the car, but it's not a huge problem since there's a lot of variety with the different minigames anyway.

Also I suspect the person with the high score of like 170000 probably cheated somehow :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! This game definitely could benefit from more variety within minigames, but we didn't have enough time to implement that unfortunately.

Thanks for pointing out the 170000 score! That's Zurc0x11's score that I think somehow got 10xed when he replaced his generated name with his own name in the data (probably because it's displayed as an int but stored as a float, and hard mode multiplies score by 1.5). We'll fix it right away!

Nice game! my least favourite was the race car lol

It’s a fun idea, I like the windows XP wallpaper, it is chaotic. Are the high scores really real people? The art style is very interesting I like the car game. Good work!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Yes! Each high score is a real person! Your name is ramdonly generated when you first open the game (Zurc and I modified our files to have our own names though). I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for playing!

Really really fun idea, it gets super chaotic but i kinda like the multi tasking. And the different inputs give it a learning curve at first. Had a lot of fun playing this, and the music is great! Good job!

Developer

I'm glad you liked it! We definitely focused on making it chaotic, but we tried to keep it from being too much. Thanks for playing!

That's a really clever idea! Overall, this game truly impressed me; it's incredibly fun, reminiscent of that moment in Split Fiction when you have to enter a verification code while sitting in the car.In some cases, a single output can lead to handling multiple windows at once—for example, with directional inputs and racing games.

Developer

I'm glad you liked it! Windows messing up other windows was part of the plan from the start, but it was somewhat hard to add more conflicting windows without getting cluttered and creating impossible scenarios. Overall, I'm happy with what we have. Thank you for playing!
