The art is very cool, a bit of golden idol vibe, it fits the game story theme very well. It took me a bit to understand the game but I started to get it and enjoy it. Great entry.

Is there a way to remove people?  I just let the first 5 people in and then couldn't do anything else.

Developer

only when you're in the middle of floor 1 and 0. ill add an option to swap out people any time soon

Cool game where you have to sus out the crazies. I like it! cool art and overall presentation!

Creepy, but I like it! I would have liked an opportunity to swap people out when I got to the max number and maybe the anomalies could kill you after they have been on a few floors or you have let a few people in. Great promise for this game and the mechanic character reminded me of Trent from Daria :)

woww! using the elevator floors counting down from f20 to f0 is such a smart take on the theme! the atmosphere in that elevator with everyone staring at you is genuinely unsettling, super cool platform 8 vibes. loved the vhs style intro video too. awesome creepy entry for the jam!

thanks!

This was pretty interesting, and though I survived, I am not sure at what cost… It feels so rough deciding to leave people behind, capacity is a pain

Very cool take on the theme, and pretty well executed! The atmosphere is solid, the aesthetic very interesting and the, uhm, people?, are very… Unsettling.

Even when I trusted, or found out they were normal, I was never quite sure…

You hit that part pretty well. Great job!

Developer(+1)

you can never trust anyone.
thanks!

Very interesting "Platform 8"-like game! The environment setup and sfx is absolute immersive. I can see this after polish and bug fixes this can be successful anomaly finding game! Bravo

Developer

thanks! keep an eye out after the jam is done

The atmosphere of this was great and there was just the right amount of information. The dialogue gave me enough to (think) I could figure things out while leaving enough ambiguity to build suspect.

Also, I loved the FMV vibes of the intro video. That was a fun way to deliver the tutorial.

Developer

i made that intro as a little extra just to make the game be a bit more interesting in terms of presentation. thanks!

Clever way of use for the theme. Mixing that with anomaly game is a good idea!

Well done!

Played twice lost twice.

Man what a hard game, but very atmospheric and fun. I don't know how to leave people outside the elevator when you are on full capacity. Seems not implemented to me.

Also I panicked and didn't properly read the instructions so I clicked the door to open it and I let a mimic in. Whoops.

Bro thinks he's slick!

who's the real one

the one in the back. He joined in right in the next floor.

Really great concept, the UI is simple, the characters are weird but in a good way for the atmosphere and the sound is pretty good, great job!

The atmosphere is definitely the stronges point of this project. Nice entry

It’s a pity the results screen doesn’t work, I’d love to know how I did. The dialogue is is really creepy, well done

The storytelling and gameplay are nice. The only thing I find unfortunate is that the one important info (how to recognize anomalies) is only on screen for a few seconds in a barely readable text and if you want to see it again, you need to restart and go through all this long video. There's a lot of potential but not knowing if whatever I was doing was good or not left me very confused. I won't critize the video info dump too much tho 'cause I'm also guilty of info dumping, hehe. Consider checking our game if you have time :)

Developer

thanks! ill check your game out soon

Really creative idea on descending floors! Love this. It really gets you worried if you should open or not. Great narrative!

I really liked the atmosphere the elevator gives to everything. With a cluster of people all staring at you as you descend. I had a hard time reading the text in the opening video, I think because of the wobble and font combined effect. A personal, not a fan of bouncing visuals, but that is very much a preference. I suspect it adds to the ambiance of the elevator feel. Shame about the bugs, but they didn't stop me from playing through the game twice to see how things change.

Overall, I really enjoyed this and can easily see it as a full game.

Developer

someone playing the game again isnt something ive seen yet! thanks!
