Classic brotato-like arena autoshooter with a solid upgrade system and a lot of handcrafted sprites.

Love the style and look but it falls a little flat in the actual game, with oddly sized sprites that give them an uneven outline thickness. A shame for such nicely drawn sprites. Looks amazing and correct in all the ui and menus though.

Nice art. I think smoothing out the early game could help a lot. Very good stuff here

Submitted

its fun, with some more added to the skill tree and a "pick 1 of 3" item mechanic this could be a full game

As many have already said, the game's gameplay core is very fun but it is also very buggy. The idea was very creative and the artwork is also really great, but some of the bugs make it quite difficult to play. However, the game is an excellent base for you keep working on!

I loved this game so much! Broken? Yes, but you can see the potential leaking out of every sprite and pixel and I really hope you do continue to work on this! I'd love to see if when it's further in/finished too because despite where the state of the game is right now, I had tonnes of fun and getting to the boss after so many rounds of just, like, surviving for 2seconds at a time and saving money for good upgrades felt so good!

Fun game! Got through the boss no problem when I was firing 5 paper planes at a time

Submitted(+1)

If only all of my problems could be solved with paper airplanes! In all seriousness, I really like the boss fight you guys created. It's so well done and the way he enrages is great!

Ugggh I hate that this game is unfinished cause it's SO in the right direction.

One thing  I learned this Jam from our designer and programmer  is that a  few behaviors can make a huge difference, and it doesn't need to be over complicated. but will make the game feel leagues more playful.

I see in the final boss the direction the animation wanted to go and it's magnificent!!! Gonna follow just in case you update the game <3

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much <3 Yeah, we had a lot planned in our minds. Unfortunately, we couldn't make as much as we wanted. All five of us are artists involved in the animation industry, but with little experience with programming. Thanks for the compliments and for following our work. We are DEFINITELY updating this game with better gameplay and new content.

Submitted(+1)

The game has a lot of potential if you add some polish and feedback to what is actually happening in the game. Right now really feels like it is your first day at work. With all that you can be really proud of the work because I loved the idea! Keep creating!!

Developer

We will!! Thank you so much for the feedback and the compliments about our game <3 We definitely agree that the gameplay needs to be clearer, and we're already working on it! In future updates, we plan to make the gameplay even better, bringing a lot of new content and different gameplay mechanics.

The game has rooms for improvements, adding juice to your game will upgrade your game more! For example: feedback when the paper plane hit the enemy, transitions when there is a upgrade, giving feedback when clicking on the upgrade buttons. But, I like your artwork and also the boss animation. Overall, it's a well done game for a first timer!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much!! Really appreciate your feedback. We are learning a lot from this gamejam and working hard to make sure everything will be clearer and gives better feedback to the player in future updates, besides adding new animated enemies, bosses and mechanics. Thank you for the compliments about the art and animation, we really put a lot of effort into them.

Great job on your first game! It's a nice little incremental. Definitely has room for improvement, but I had fun. Absolutely loved the final boss! Makes me wish the battle was longer so I could look at him a bit more

Developer(+1)

Thank you!! As the programmer, I was really amazed seeing the boss animated for the first time. We really appreciate the love you guys are showing to our first game <3  We are working hard on improving the balancing system, so in future updates the pacing will be a lot better, besides having even more animated enemies, bosses, and different mechanics.

Submitted(+1)

I was legitimately jumpscared by really the good animation on the boss after getting used to the static pictures for everybody else!

Developer (2 edits) (+1)

Thank you so much!!! Yeah, we put a lot of effort into the boss animation for this jam and we're so excited to show more animated enemies and different mechanics on future updates.

Very good art and writing. The gameplay itself seemed barely there but I was still able to beat it quickly . I'm the best intern ever

Developer(+1)

lmao thank you!! we are new to programming so it def was the hardest part (we are all artists who love gaming and decided to join a jam and see how far we could go and learn in such a short time). but we will add a bunch of mechanics, aim system and upgrades of course in the future bc we fell in love with this game and want to make a complete game out of it

Submitted(+2)

On one hand, I don't think it's the most fun in this state (balance is a bit whacl and gameplay is pretty repetitive), on the other hand the sheer excitement i fell in the art as well as in the team's message make it so much more enjoyable. Good luck with this people !

Developer(+1)

Thank you! And yes, we URGENTLY need to balance the game better, we are newbies to game programming so that was what we could deliver in time for the jam. But we will add a bunch of enemies, bosses, A LOT of mechanics, aim system and other things in the coming future

Submitted(+2)

Such a cute art style! Very well made!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much <3

Vibe is great, countdown feels maybe a bit of a stretch however. Interesting game though, the style I really think is cool. Good job!

Developer

Glad you liked it! We are big fans of incremental/bullet heavens games, and it's very common for these games to have a timer for you to complete a dungeon, so the theme for this GMTK fitted like a glove for us.

Submitted(+2)

Great job on this!

I will say however it was a bit chaotic in the beginning, perhaps adding more office themed enemies and or obstacles or even puzzles to elevate the Survivors genre a bit! I was stoked on the art a lot haha great job on the jam!!!

Developer

Thank you and YESSS! Unfortunely due to the short time, we couldnt make even 5% of what we had planned lol we have a bunch of enemies, bosses (with lore!!) and mechanics to add

Developer(+2)

Had a lot of fun making this! Hope yall like it, and we DEF going to make a full game out of it

Developer(+3)

So proud of our work! Hope y'all like the first demo of our game :)

Submitted(+4)

Absolutely adore all the post-it notes, theming, and art. The upgrade system was also neat, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how it might be expanded upon in the future! Great work.

Developer

Thank you so much <3 we loved making it and are very hyped into making it bigger!
