Great rougelike! Everything is polished and there is so much content. I don't know, how you made such awesome game in 4 days.

Developer

Thanks a lot! Yeah I’m still a bit overwhelmed myself x)

Submitted(+1)

Really well done roguelike. I'm stunned by the polish that was put into this like the music changing intensity or when you rotate the tiles the little effects like houses rotate as well in a nice way. Game was fun too, good stuff

Developer

High praise! Thanks for playing :D A lot of thought was put into the music by our lovely musicians, and the rotating effect was actually an accidental find when my tweener broke xD

Cool mechanic with the lamp

Developer

Thanks!

Such a stunning game.

Amazing that you had time to make this in such short time.

The only issue is that I somehow kept getting soft locked ;(

Otherwise the game is really awesome!

Well done :D

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the review! Yeah, softlocks really are a problem, sorry for that! :’)

Developer

OMG thank you! I was the artist and you just made me blush x)

Hello! I really enjoyed your game - I found it quite relaxing and also quite interesting, great job! If anyone on your team likes card games, I'd love to hear your thoughts on my game!

Developer

Thanks a lot! I will go check your entry now :p

This game is really cozy and polished! The tile-placing mechanic is very satisfying, it reminds me a bit of Carcassonne but with its own dark twist thanks to the monsters like the whirlpool. The art style has a lot of charm, and the layered music that evolves as you play is a really nice touch.

I got a bit stuck later on when tiles started piling up and it became harder to plan ahead, so maybe some kind of mechanic to remove old tiles from the deck over time could help balance longer runs. But overall this is one of the most polished and complete-feeling entries I've played from this jam, amazing work from the whole team!

Developer

Thank you for playing! Yeah, the deck-thinning mechanic suggestion is amongst the more popular ones and honestly we fully agree!

Glad you had a great time with our lil game :)

It was relaxing. I went to level 13. It was a good game experience thinking how to put the tiles efficiently.

Developer

O, nice! Glad you had a pleasant time :)

Developer

Glad you had a good time! Thanks for the review :)

I loved the music and the artwork. It's a really polished nice game. Not very hard though, but it's nice

Developer

Thanks for playing!

If you wouldn't mind checking out our game in return it would be greatly apprechiated <3

i love the aesthetic of this game! mapping the tiles together is quite satisfying and reminds me a lot of Carcassonne

Developer

Glad to hear you enjoyed it! We took inspo from another tile-connecting board game, with a darker theme called The Night Cage :)

Wow, this is amazing! The art is wonderful, and it is also really fun to play and polished. I was just a bit confused about the mouse, I do not fully understand what "line of sight" meant. However, overall a really good game.

Developer

First of all, thank you! The caused confusion is on me :’) Rats and Minotaurs see to the sides, despite the artwork showing them facing forward.

Submitted

Ah, this makes sense! I think in real life prey animals also often see more clearly on the sides. That is a fun thing to implement in this card! :)

legitimately one of my favorites from this jam! What a fun game! I really love the idea, I could see myself playing this as a full game! Only issue I had was that I got to level 15, got stuck and couldn't reset :') But this was a great game either way. Amazing job!

Developer(+1)

Awh, that’s so sweet! :) Yeah, we didn’t implement the in-level softlock prevention, but you can always quit to the menu and press Continue to reset the level!

Submitted(+1)

Cool idea and nice artwork style! You should try to develop this further after the event, when you have more time :D

Developer

Thank you a lot! We are contemplating this :D

Awesome game. Honestly!

Minimalistic concept, clear and engaging.

Minimalistic graphics, but the colors change every time and look very nice.

Minimalistic tutorial, not at all stressful.

Beautiful buttons, colors, sounds.

Great job on all aspects of the game!

One of my favorites is now on jam.

Developer

High praise :O Glad you enjoyed it at the fullest!

I really like the concept of the game I had a great time playing it!

I’ve managed to try out almost all the cards (apart from one, as I didn’t lose more than three times). I got as far as level 19, and it’s clear the game isn’t designed to handle that many cards. I wonder if the game wouldn’t work better with a roguelite mechanic, with a system that permanently removes cards from the deck to avoid having too many tiles.
I also really like the way the cards rotate it feels really juicy.

Developer

Thanks for the review! Yeah we overdid it on the amount of tiles you receive per-level, so it gets out hand relatively quickly :p

Also when the card rotation idea came to mind, it was immediately a keeper, I probably spent an hour just spinning the tiles around xd

The game is so polished, it's a pleasure to play! It would have benefited from being more difficult, as I advanced in the levels without ever really thinking I could lose, and since the levels seem infinite it means you can play a long time. But still, it was really fun and everything in it make this game a joy to play, congrats!

Developer

Thank you very oh-so much! Stoked you had a blast despite the balancing issues <3

Really amazing concept. At first, I couldn't believe it would ever become interesting. Then around level 6, I started to see the potential. By level 12, I was in love. The art is beautiful, and so unusual! For me, I was never at risk of running out of lampa, and the real threat was becoming trapped. My love-hate relationship with Mines helped me and screwed me in equal measure!

Developer

Thank you for playing! It’s amazing to hear it’s grown on you with time :D You’re right about the abundance of tiles later on, we really didn’t balance that properly.

Also yess, LOVE Mineshafts until you’re forced to put them horizontally… xD

I am definitely revisiting this game during Halloween. Gave me good spooky, but cozy vibes, kind of like Over the Garden Wall. I loved how each tile had a little special effect too.

Developer

Glad to hear it! <3 We may or may not polish the game a little once the jam ends, too
