I love games with good names!
Great looks too.
The game was really hard for me though. I expected a more chill gameplay when I saw the initial value of the timer :D But it was pretty intense even when I figured out the proper way to dash.

How does your game fit the theme?
You play as an astronaut that must escape his rundown rocket before it takes off. The countdown to liftoff is constantly visible and you must have escaped before it reaches zero.

Fun little adventure, controls were tight but it helped a lot with the precision. Took me a few tries to "remain on solid ground" but I got through it. Gave me Micro-platformer vibes rather than meatboy just cause the movement is slower (that's not a bad thing!)
I liked the ending screen, and give this game an [astronaut thumbs up] / 10. I hope you had as much fun making it as I did playing it! <3
Dang. I am terrible at this. I attempted it a couple of times but I struggled pretty hard. I wasn't able to beat it in the end but I still enjoyed the challenge overall. Pretty good for a game jam entry!
Haha you mischievous level designer! When you think you’re done, and bam, the end was on the right! Love it!
Great job! (haven’t finished yet but I’ll try to come back to it later!)
please don't fly me to the moon by Hank Pinatra is my favorite song. Great game! Took me 3 or 4 tries to beat. Really fun and a bit difficult
a decently challenging platformer, reminds me of something like super meat boy, which is really nice. the timer made me immediately scramble to finish each level as soon as i realised it doesnt restart on each level lol. this is really good, especially as a solo project :>
I liked the level design, this is quite a challenging platformer. The main mechanic makes it incredibly punishing for those who are terrible at platformers (myself)! I also found the dash to be a little inconsistent, sometimes it would only boost me a little. But overall, I did have fun, nice entry!
Thanks for playing! The issue you had with the dash is actually a feature where it can be cut short by releasing the movement input during its initial buffer, but I didn't really end up using this feature in the levels I made, so I probably should've cut it for consistency. I also definitely should've toned down the difficulty for the general audience of a jam, but alas. I'm glad you enjoyed, and thank you for the kind words!
I love the crisp directional movements. But made me reaslise how bad I was at platformers. Good game!
The timer is so stressful! The levels are awesome and hard, I really enjoyed the challenge. I wish I could play the rest of the levels with the timer disabled after I lose though haha
Level design and dash mechanic were super cool, I just suck at platformers making it hard to get through.
Much harder than I was expecting that's for sure! For some reason it took me much longer than I care to admit that to realise that I could dash / jetpack upwards, oops! My second run went much better.
It's a nice short loop, really difficult for me as I don't play too many platformers and the difficulty ramps up fast. The art and music is nice and all fits together well.
The level design is strong, diagonal movement onto walls or the over and under sort of 'u-bend' shapes create some interesting mechanical challenge. Thank you!
Pretty neat little game. Unfortunately I suck at platformers so this is like my version of a rage game, lol. But once I got the hang of the controls it was fun to try to get through the obstacles. Maybe if you work on it more after the jam, the player might use a first level where they can experiment with movement a little more? Just before feeding them to the nasty mean walls. XD
I do worry it's a little too hard of a game, especially for those who aren't into platformers. The idea with the first three levels was to introduce the player to the moveset and get them familiar with it, but the idea of having a larger test room to mess about in is a good one. If I work on this after the jam, it's certainly something I'll add! I do hope you enjoyed it though, and thank you for playing and for the feedback!
The movement here is a little unintuitive to start with but once I got the hang of it I think it's quite fun to fly around with. I think they time limit could possibly get a bit annoying if you had to do a lot of loops, but with the few it took me to beat it I found it to be a fun excuse to replay the earlier levels faster and easier with a better handle on the controls.
There are some creative puzzles here. It starts out difficult and gets even harder, very quickly!
The soundtrack is rather nice. The visuals could benefit from some more animation.
Very demanding, but also very satisfying when you get it right
Also can we get an escape slide for this little guy? Or like a fireman's pole? OSHA hello???????
