Nice game. But I have to agree with others: it became boring after a while. Other than that, it's well made!
The game is good. As some people said it gets kinda repetitive after a while, but it was fun nonetheless.
The game is okay... The game may get repetitive, and it took longer than I expected... Also, are you using the scratch mod known as Turbowarp? I use it!
Yeah I am using turbowarp lol
Hey! I actually got pretty far into this game. Made it to about 14 days remaining. Sadly I found that the gameplay loop got kinda repetitive after there were no more unique events that I could find. The last event I found was when the boss got mad at me for trying to lie to him about how many days I had left three times in a row, which was quite funny. Honestly, good work! The pixel art is cute and the overall story is wonderful. I have a few comments:
* This might be intentional or not, but the progress bar and sticky note blocking the keys that you're supposed to press is kinda silly. Unless you intend to specifically discourage the player from doing their job (and hence encourage them to explore the world), I think you can do away with the blockages and just show the keys.
* You possibly already know this, but there's a bug where you can tip over an invisible bucket.
* This game can benefit by having more unique events that unfold throughout the days! Obviously you were limited by the jam deadline, but if you ever plan on expanding this game..!
Great job on this. Congrats on submitting such a unique entry to the jam! I wish you the best.
Thanks for all this feedback! I'm aware it does get super repetitive and I really wish I could've added more things to do and had more time to bugfix. Even still I'm glad you enjoyed it!
The audio is great, but you can make to skip the dialogue
Thanks but I didn't make either of the songs! Everyone keeps saying the music is good so thank the credited people I guess :b
Okay. I will
Very lovely art and fitting music to go with! I played through the whole thing, and though the gameplay felt a bit repetitive after the first few days. Also, it felt a bit odd that, while dialogue is occurring, the timer continues to tick down. Kind of puts pressure on your reading speed.
The dialog is a good point I never thought of that! Thank you!!!
Love it!
A bit too long though
Made it to the friend's place on the first playthrough, but i only dared to play the boss's gullibility on the second playthrough
(Spolier: He is indeed gullible, xD )
Thanks lol
Great idea! The artwork is cool and it's impressive that the whole thing was made in 4 days. However, I played a few days and it felt a bit repetitve after that, so I quit. The computer mini game feels unfinished, like when pressing the keys I can't see half of the letters because they're behind the progress bar... Also, would be nice to have the timer indicator visible at all times. Altogether I think it would be a great game when polished up!
Was waiting for someone to mention the letters lol. I added it and noticed they were hard to see but didnt really have enough time to change it. Thanks!
I like the art and the premise, but i didn’t stick through and bailed after the fourth day.
I don’t think the player should have to play that many miny games… It gets repetitive really quickly.
If the game can emphasis on coworker interaction and give player something else to do beside mini-games, I think it will be a lot more fun.
Yeah I totally agree, I tried to do a runthrough of the game after submission myself and did everything by the second day, and got way to bored to do the minigames for 20 minutes.
I Misseed the birthday party :(
The game get a little slow after the second day
Some interactions were actually funny and REALLY good visuals!
yeah If I could've added enough content to last more than two days I would've, but thanks a lot!
great work on the textures
i agree with the other people got very boring half way through
I saw the water in front of the office first and wanted to water the plant with it, so i was very confused why i would throw it over before giving some of it to the plant
I'm truly impressed by how many different functions and objectives are in your game. The graphics are beautiful and it feels like a finished game! Congrats!
It looks empty to me lol so thanks!!!
I agree with the other comments on the pace, but I'll say the art is pretty nice, very coherent. Best part by far is the little interactions with your coworkers and the humor.
I just playtested it myself and once you find everything you can do, in order to win you basically just have to do your jobs and talk to your boss and nothing else for like 5 days. I could've added it so you can end the day earlier, but I think the idea I had in mind was just to ambitious for a 4-day jam lol.
Good art good concept good music. It's wayy too slow of a game for me tho. and maybe a little too long for a jam submission?
Thanks for the feedback! I know it's pretty slow because I didn't have enough time to add in all the content to keep the gameplay not boring, so I def gotta scale down my idea next time.
The art style and music are cool—the soundtrack actually reminded me of elevator music. I really enjoyed exploring the dialogues with the NPCs. Overall, a cool game!
Thank you!!!
The game is overall good and I really liked the art and the narrative, but it is a little slow. I wanted to finish the game but there was a bug that prevented me from doing so. I think it is because I went to another room while the workday was ending, which made my screen black and froze the game.
Sorry about that it's very buggy, and it is pretty slow :b
I really like what I see! These kinds of games are not usually my thing, but its really good for what it is. The vibes are immaculate. I love the art style and music, and the premise is interesting. It was just a bit slow for my personal tastes (I only made it halfway through day 2 before bailing) but that's mostly just me. It did take me a while to figure out how to get off the title screen, so it might help to put a tip for how to do that on the itch page. Great job!
Thanks for the feedback! I didn't mean for the game to be as slow as it is, but I spent a lot of time on art and didn't get to add much content. I'll be adding the tip too :)
