This game looks so beautiful! I love this very mechanical-type theme and absolutely was the highlight of your game! It was slightly difficult to pick up, but after I do, the gameplay is entertaining and rewarding. Your team was clearly consisted of multiple talented people, it really shows in the sheer details and polish of this game! Great job :)

How does your game fit the theme?
Our game incorporates the “Countdown” theme through several mechanics. First, the traveling city from which we explore the desert has two limited resources: water and people. If either one drops to zero, it’s game over. During exploration, time is limited, the air is unbreathable, and if you stay outside too long, someone from the city dies. In combat, skills with cooldowns are included to reinforce the sense of anticipation associated with a countdown. Finally, the climate theme brings us back to our real-life situation, where we know we must act quickly before the climate deteriorates too much.

Just wow. The scope of the game is impressive… how? <3
Outstanding artwork complimented by great soundtrack! Super minor issue: the bullets, I wish they would pop out a little more. :)
Congrats on the game! :)
This entry definitely has the most creative world-building of any of the other entries I've seen. The mechanics took me a while to grasp, especially how I was supposed to recover water as I didn't realise that you automatically recover a set amount for each new region instead of having to manually loot it like scrap. The main gameplay loop is good but I think it's held back by those frustrating moments when you've got a few seconds left and you know there's one more enemy on the stage but you just can't see them. It just feels like there's nothing you can do or plan for in those moments. I think some directional audio, UI indicators, or a mini map would go a long way in making the countdown mechanic more engaging. But other than that, really cool concept, gorgeous art, and I think the gameplay certainly has a lot of potential. Well done!
this is amazing omg
there's a lot to say, I think the idea is really cool, getting to the source felt incredibly rewarding, overall this is an amazing experience for a jam game (made in 48 hours at that!)
I love the fact that you have to write down what the elder tells you in your own notes to figure out where the source can be, that little extra step makes it actually feel like you're exploring this vast wilderness
I'm not sure if it's intended but there's some kind of screen tearing when you move around, in the desert environment it looks like heat shimmer! If it wasn't intended, it looks really cool by accident lol
when it comes to the upgrades, they do feel a little expensive, especially when you're so incentivised to spend your scrap on information, and every trip basically requires you to die once, so you lose water no matter what
so yeah, I never felt like I wanted to use the forge at all, so maybe that could be an interesting design question, but regardless I had a ton of fun with the core gameplay loop! and that's the most important
And the theme having multiple layers of interpretation is the cherry on top, the story was captivating, really solid stuff all around! congrats yall this is sick
It is really nice concept, art and music are great, for combat I would suggest making bullets stand out more, and you can just spam attacks I guess. but those are minor things, the scope of the game is quite impressive.
It's a very ambitious game. I had trouble figuring some things out, there was a lot of text explaining each area, but I couldn't see any way to get the instructions back. It looks and sounds very nice. The music, sounds, art, and writing all fit together and have the same vibe. I think it's a nice world you have created.
It took me a while to complete all the game, which is a good sign for a game jam entry, it really hooked me enough that I wanted to finish it.
I thought the atmosphere was amazing, the art and music really capture the vibes of the Dune universe, great job there!
I also thought the game loop was well-designed, each section is just the right length: not too long to get boring, but just enough to leave you wanting more.
Things to improve: In the initial tutorial, in my case, it tells me that the map is accessed with the letter “Ñ,” but the interface says “M,” which is a bit confusing.
It would be nice if when the Elder gives you a clue about a square without the water source, it were marked somehow on the map, since it’s hard to remember every single square.
I’d also try to improve the enemies pathfinding, they sometimes get stuck.
I understand that you’re already aware of all these things, but it’s not easy to add everything when the jam's countdown keeps ticking away ;)
I think your project has enough potential to keep it going and not let it die after the jam.
Great job overall. Congratulations! :D
This is definitely going into my list of game jam games that I would want to play again, would definitely recommend!
Definitely deserves more ratings.
One bug I found - you can go off the map, which I don't think was intended, and sometimes it spawns you into a place with all 4 sides blocked off (at least 4 sides with the edge of the map working)
Definitely another game that I heavily enjoyed despite the errors, I like it!
I love the art style and the music! The game play was a bit hard to understand. i had to dig in the game page to for the button to choose the missing. That should be explained in the game itself. if you expect people to use wasd is a little weird to put the world map all the way in " ; "
Amazing work though, im very inspired by it!!
Very good looking game, I dig the art style and the music fits perfectly. Everything comes together to create a really intriguing world to explore. The gameplay of the mission is a bit underdeveloped comparatively, I wonder what you could have done with more time !
Super travail, j'ai envie d'en voir plus !!
AMAZING WORLDBUILDING, I love it, and it goes that well with art and music (love the music)
The transition between the missions is a bit rough ^^, but the main ship looks amazing, and I see what could be done with the missions by themselves, even though their were lacking feedback (when you hit/ when your hit)
Would love to see it released as a full game! Great, great work!
Gorgeous game! I wish there was a web build, I had to pull wine to make the game run on linux. But was well worth it!
Really solid take on the theme and a unique setting! The game was a bit brutally difficult at first to me but once you get going, it starts to get into a solid rhythm. Quite impressive how much you got in here for such a short jam too. All around excellent game!
This was awesome! Great story, music, and tight controls. Very well done.
Love the art, and the narrative is engaging! It's quite hard though, i'm not sure if i'll be able to beat it. I did end up wasting most of my water at the beginning trying to figure out the game so maybe it'll go better the next time. Great job!
