cool
Interesting game. Nice mechanics, pretty art and sound -- well done!
Wow this was really fun! I really like this mechanic a lot! Tho for me it started to lag after the 4th loop. But I still liked it a lot. Great Job!!
the whole time loop mechanic is really cool! at first i thought that i was just really bad but then the clones came in and i had a lot of fun playing!
Very cool game :) keeping the friendly fire makes the choice of which monsters to attack really interesting. The atmosphere with the pixel art and music is also well done, the fire dimming out is also a nice mechanic to make it harder as time goes on. The art is nice, I just wished the ennemies were a bit more visible against the background I had a little bit of trouble seeing them pop up sometimes, but it's a nitpick.
Congrats !!
The countdown implementation is really great and I love the past self mechanic. At first I thought it because a 2 player game after the first round but soon realized the actual mechanic. It builds so much more depth in planning out where I should hit and aim at so it would be easier for the next round. Overall I think it's a great game!
Nice! We're glad you liked our game! Hopefully we will find strength and time to further develop the game after the gamejam to make it even better :)
This was neat!!! I went in blind and I'm so glad I did. My first thought was: "oh no, waaaaay too many enemies," and then I died and realized what you were doing. And then I promptly died again to my own torch-thingy. Fantastic work!
Hah, that's good to hear! Maybe making attacks more telegraph will prevent some of the unwanted deaths. Thanks for the feedback!
Very neat! I liked the art and polish. I would have loved some more juice, particles and screenshake and more sounds would have added a ton to my experience. The campfire closing in on you was very cool. Great work!
Yes, totally agree that we should've added more of that, but because of the potential amount of enemies and players that would take time to make it look not too overwhelming (especially the screenshake). Thanks for the feedback!
Hee-Ho. Cool game, nice fire objects. Very cute spiders, i love spiders
Yes, they are very cool. Too bad we didn't have time to implement some sort of a spider boss :(
Oof it became very confusing for me at the end ;P And at first i figured it was a count UP because you keep adding little past flames. But very cool concept and actually quite chill if you ignore the bullet hell
I see, I think if we made the attacks more telegraphed this would be less of an issue. Thanks for the feedback!
Loved the game! Specially when it became a bullet hell where I was my own worst enemy (and best ally!) very creative and enjoyable, also very cute art
Thanks! The friendly fire really brought the ideas together :)
Woah, that moment of dying and realizing that im fighting alongside my past self was such a cool revelation! Great work!
Yes! That was the idea that we really enjoyed playing with. Thanks for the feedback!
I like the interpretation of the theme and the option to keep playing in endless mode, but having more enemy types, mostly more types that can damage you, would have made things more interesting. I also think it would have been more fun to choose whether you want the next flamekin to be melee or ranged instead of having to cycle between them.
Everything that you've mentioned was planned in the beginning, but we had to rush the project. We plan to add all of that after the gamejam though. Thanks for the feedback!
This could have been an interesting game if refined.
The concept is good. The music is well chosen.
It's too easy and lacks bosses and variety :)
And you need to somehow distinguish who you're playing as.
Yes, totally agree that we should add more variety, but we had to cut a lot of ideas unfortunately. We had planned more enemies and more playable characters that you can choose from that we hopefully add after the game jam. And we realized a bit too late, that it becomes hard to see the character that you play whenever there are 8+ of you already doing something :) Thanks for the feedback!
you are a real developer
you can do better trust me
CAN YOU TRY MY GAME and give me your comment
Really cool idea! Love how it quickly turns into a bullet hell of your own making. I kept getting killed by myself, lol. I thought the look of it was really cool as well. I think if you were to take it further, creating different levels with specific challenges to overcome or something beyond just an infinite loop would make it more fun for longer! Great job!
Thanks! I think it's the first time we made something not too complex to understand but fun to play. We wanted to add more but it's a bit too much for such a short game jam. Who knows maybe we can make it into some sort of a roguelike with different characters to choose from and upgrades to each one of them. For now it's a proof of concept and we're happy, that you had fun!
