Fun dungeon crawl with some humor! I love that the villain is implanting rumors to attracting adventurers, and that the manticore is not really one.

Vintage pulp fantasy in a simple, sleek design. A precious, glimmering system-neutral gem.

This reads as so much fun! It’s a totally functional, playable dungeon. And then the 70s, 80s THACO chain mail bikini humor co es into it. Love it!

Supremely charming art, paired with fantastically witty writing- this one is a grand slam!

I love Anamoia’s whole deal, and I am very happy that you traded your title to obtain this one instead, because it turned out bodaciously!

Submitted

Love Anamoia's preference on the physique of her army. Awesome illustrations as usual!

This is a solid module. No notes. Well done!

great module fits well enough in MÖRK borg . Cool cover so much pulp fantasy vibes going on here and the module itself is handy.

This is a top notch module, full of fun ideas and a clever dungeon map. And god, I love the cover art and the visual design.

This is so good it makes me mad. So simple. So elegant. Exactly what it needs to be.

Developer

Wow, I really appreciate it!

Love it! A good classic dungeon that is extremely usable and with fun tricks. Love the contrast between the very serious presentation (and that gorgeous cover page!) and the humour of it all. Great writing.

Developer

Yes! The classic Appx N stuff takes it self so seriously, but has always seemed kind of hilarious to me. Glad that comes across!

Stunning original art on the cover. And I am probably not the only person who read the opening as an intro to the cheesiest metal song of the early 80s.

Developer

Thanks! Cheesy 80s metal is exactly the vibe here.

Spectacular entry, oozing with character, and great humor. I can’t wait to run this for my players.

Developer

Thanks so much!

Ran it tonight as a one shot, everyone had a great time! One of the players tried to talk down the flesh abomination in the last room by offering it the body oil, but then instantly coup de graced the tranquilized necromancer XD, gave everyone at the table a good laugh.

Developer

That's so cool that you ran it! I'm flattered! What system did you use?

This was a delight. I really enjoy your writing style, and the cover art is excellent. Added to my "to run" collection.

Developer(+1)

That means a lot! Not sure what my writing style really is at this point, but I'm glad it hits!

Submitted(+1)

Hell yeah, a proper silly adventure with great layout and amazing art.

Developer(+1)

Glad you like it! Couldn't resist having a bit of a laugh with how serious this stuff gets sometimes.

This rules! The encounters are unique and I think really sell the somewhat silly mood of the adventure in a way that gets the players involved. The dungeon design is phenomenal with a lot of loops, movement and an internal logic that's easy to understand due to the layout

Developer(+1)

Thank you, I really appreciate it! Spent a lot of time on the layout.

Great tongue-in-cheek old-school dungeon crawl. I loved the dungeon layout, and the undead brute table was hilarious. You can never go wrong with snakes, skulls, eyeballs, and barbarians on a cover either! Very metal!

Developer

thanks! Sometimes you just gotta play the hits!

Absolutely radical - fantastic art, well-concieved dungeon, and novel framing device! I'm going to try running this in His Majesty the Worm next chance I get.

Developer

Thank you! I'd love to hear how it goes if you get it to the table!

Love the cover art and the constant injections of humor really kept me at a steady grin while reading through this. The mental image this painted for me has me thinking this would be a dream one shot for those players always on the lookout for the beefiest NPCs to hit on.

thanks! Oh there’s so many beefcakes and bad zombie babes in this one! 💪

Didn't realize this was the Perils and Princesses guy until I read the comments.
It's a lil fighty for my tastes, but we're not rating modules based on their fightiness, now are we? 5's down the board. On theme, direct, easy to understand, and with a lot of room for tragedy.

Me after reading this module:

I'm in Danger': The Evolution of a One-Liner Into a Viral Meme

Glad you dig it! It's definitely the big bad's stronghold with some big time Conan inspiration so there's a lot of fights to be had if you're looking for them. Although I'd like to think that clever parties will befriend Brogan, Aspectus, and potentially the Giant Snake if they can speak with animals. Plus, a few of the Brutes are focused on their tasks so there's no reason to fight. I think the Manticore Guard and the final encounter with the sorceress and her monstrosity are the only fights that are going to be really hard to avoid.

Surprising literally no-one, Ryan Perilsnprincesses made a banger module.

No but seriously, great stuff. Concise, to the point, layout is clear, map is legible, cover art is in the same style as old pulp fantasy covers while still being recognizably in Ryan's style and looking modern. Fake weathering on the pages was a great touch. Writing is direct and just funny enough without being distracting. This has, as the kids say, the sauce.

Developer(+1)

Damn, thank you!
