"Although barely any mortal nobles survived the plummet to earth, it is clear they are not human in any measure. Insectoid creatures in delicate ruffled silks and powdered wigs reminiscent of French royalty."
Hell yeah.
If you like depthcrwl you will find here quite a crown of the art
cool concept in this one! I love the art on this skeleton!
Loved the insect Nobles & the finger wands! Great art, colors, layout & tables as well.
Would love to see a sequel where more of the floating Immortals’ home is explored.
Great use of a depthcrawl for your title. The three tables fit each other like a glove. The dice rolls give a nice level of variation to the rooms/encounters. Send easy enough to fit into most campaigns, which I might try to do :)
The idea of the fingers as wands is inspired! The way the right hands compel spell works is hilarious. If I somehow don’t end up running this I will at least be stealing that idea. Incredible work. Super gameable!
Cool concept and I love a good depth crawl.
Very nice module! I do feel I could plug this into most systems with not too much effort.
My small critique would be on layout (in particular page 2) - the balance of the page feels slightly off (above and below tables). I think something centred may look better and the fact that tables are close but not just equal throws it a little bit
Oh yes, very baroque! Purple and yellow—criminally underutilized. And looters “ like ants on a dropped jam sandwich,” yes, purple grape jam & golden peanut butter. Haha.
I think this is an eminently gameable loot-fest which seems like it’d be very fun for a higher-level party, and an absolute windfall for lower level characters but also probably lethal. The Bangsawan is awesome! Also, is this what heaven looks like? For our adventurers, probably.
If I had any critique of the adventure, I think I’d only want a bit more from the townsfolk surrounding the situation. Surely there must be all sorts getting trapped and stuck into the gold rush, and someone selling shovels and picks… and how do the divinities react to their presence, beside the Bangsawan?
Great stuff, really enjoyable read. <3
Striking design! I really like how each location is constructed from multiple tables. It adds a lot of variety and sparks my imagination. The finger-bone wands are a really fun concept that is done well.
Love the fingers and the levitator dust! There are a lot of very cool ideas here. Fantastic job!
I loved the initial premise of the adventure and the introduction, especially this line "Looters are already swarming onto the broken piece of heaven like ants on a dropped jam sandwich" that says everything you need to know in a very evocative way.
The idea of a vertical depthcrawl with armor carrying limitations seems super fun. Excellent work
A ton of brilliant work here! The idea of looters brandishing lich-fingers in a wizard duel made me bust out laughing.
Excellent application of a depthcrawl too. Made me wonder how I might be able to leverage it an update or future game.
Great central art piece, very cool idea for a location with some very fun descriptions (I like the nobles). I can see the Levitator Fuel Dust being a great source of fun and chaos with a group of creative players - awesome work! ✨
Spider hand is unsettling. Liked the fingers table and the procedural approach.
The cover is great and I'm impressed at how much you managed to cram into a trifold.
Great twist on a depth crawl. Evocative setup, engaging, gameable content, and the Immortal Bangsawan is a badass villain. (Or should I say hero? It's their city after all! Filthy PCs...) A beautiful design, too!
Love the IMMORTAL BANGSAWAN! Very cool fingers chart. I feel like there is a lot of replayability here.
Thank you, and yes, the replayability is a deliberate element I wanted to keep from Emmy Allen's depthcrawls.
Great centrepiece villain, great adventure site, great aesthetic. Love the villain's fingers as wands scattered around the dungeon.
