I like being able to save my constellations! Neat idea and very chill. I had a little trouble selecting stars sometimes – It’d select a nearby one, couldn’t really find a pattern to report. Really glad you show the selected one and have undo. I wish the controls were all on my left hand so I could pan and keep my hand on the mouse.
In all, very enjoyable experience! Wish I could get more than 1 star.
The idea is amazing, on plus, maybe add some ideas of theposible constellations to draw, like some stars brither can be conected each other, butthe idea of create your own constellation picture is also amazing.
really good entry
Really liked the idea of creating your own constellations and taking. It's quite relaxing and cill type game. I think this idea definitely have potential with some more design work using current version as a base. Good work!!
YOOO, THIS ONE HAS SUCH A CHILL SPACE VIBE! ✨
I really enjoyed just exploring the sky and seeing what kind of planets, galaxies, and celestial views I could create. The procedural visuals are honestly the biggest highlight for me — everything looks simple but surprisingly beautiful, especially the planets and those little details in the sky.
I also really like the idea of being able to capture your favorite views and save them as actual images. That’s such a neat little feature and makes the game feel more like a personal stargazing sandbox. 📸🌠
One thing I think could make this even better is adding more things to discover or collect, like constellation challenges, a small in-game photo gallery, different star types, or special celestial events. That would give players a reason to keep exploring instead of just taking a few pictures.
But honestly, great work, especially with the procedural art and atmosphere. You made a really nice little space experience in a short jam timeframe.
⭐ I’m giving this one a TOP rating from me! You absolutely deserve it.
And bro, if you have some free time, PLEASE play my game too and leave me a review! 🥹🙏 I’d genuinely love to hear what you think, and your feedback would mean a lot to me.
Good luck with the jam! Keep cooking! 🚀
It’s not really my kind of game, but the concept is nice. Imho, games like (without a clear “objective”) this rely on visuals and effects.
You could add differences between the stars (colors, sprites, etc.), effects on the connecting lines… or, as others have suggested, a database of constellations to recreate!
I think the idea of a game where you create something and downloading images of it is really neat, even if you are pretty limited in this case. Solid work!
I have some mixed feelings here. Let's go through the categories to show you why :)
Gameplay. To be honest, it's not for me. Like- I like chill games and sandboxes, but I feel there needs to be something more gameplay-wise here.
Graphics. Actually really cool. Making procedural art look cool is not an easy task, but you made it. Planets look neat, comet looked great! The sky looked... well, like a starry sky on a cloudless night, but in this jam it's a compliment :)
Audio. The background music fits, but there's not much else. Maybe a "ding" sound when you add a star into a constelation?
Theme. Well... it's stargazing! I don't want to repeat the "gameplay" part, but it would be cool, if you did more with the theme.
And this is why I have mixed feelings. Technical aspects are really cool. The gameplay needs work. Keep it up, man!
Thanks for the comment! All very valid criticisms. I felt the lack of gameplay toward the end of the jam but didn't have time to implement my other idea. I'm glad you liked the procedural art because learning how to do that was my primary focus for this project.
Gameplay / Fun / Engagement
- Interesting gameplay, but gets kinda boring quickly. Maybe a little bit of helping hand would be nice. For example some UI with constellations that I should look for etc. Something to engage me and not leave me in just a sandbox mode :) Nonethless it could be chill for some people.
Creativity / Experiment
- Not amazingly creative, but pretty well executed and it is just just another platformer so... alright
Art Style / Visuals
- Simple, yet effective
Audio / Sound Design
- Simple, yet effective
Theme
- Well, it is simply stargazing in its core. So 10/10 :D
I like you can actually save images to PC haha. Like the other comment said, yeah a gallery would be cool. It was a bit laggy to me, but it's a cool idea and neat visuals.
Good game ,It felt a little off because the photos you take are saved to my PC, but overall, it’s really good. I think you could make it even better by adding an in-game gallery for the photos you take, along with a focus button. Overall, great job!
