Very interesting game! I really liked the art style of the overall UI and the constellations captured using the telescope. I did get a little overwhelmed with the upgrades lol but overall I enjoyed it! Btw this was one of the constellations I captured

🌌📸 YOOO, STARGLASS IS A REALLY COOL CONCEPT!

I really enjoyed the telescope + photography gameplay. The idea of having limited glass plates makes every photo feel like a choice — “is this phenomenon worth using one of my plates?” 😄

The old-school photography style, UI, and golden/brass visuals look really nice too. And the Gallery/upgrade system gives you a reason to keep playing and hunting for rarer things.

One thing I’d develop further is making the moment-to-moment gameplay a little more active. Maybe add more events, weather/sky changes, special discoveries, or small challenges while photographing so there’s always something unexpected happening. ⭐

Overall, really nice game and a great fit for STARGAZING!

And if you have some time, please try my game too and leave me a review! I’d really appreciate it! ❤️

I don't have a mouse. Is there another control for focus?

Developer(+1)

Not for now unfortunately. The focus control currently requires a mouse. I may add a keyboard alternative later after I can change it though.

Submitted

Oh, that's too bad. Hopefully you can add one in eventually. Thanks.

Wow, I LOVE this game. Cool idea and good work!

Pretty cool idea. I dig this interpretation of "stargazing". But let's go from the top :)

Gameplay. Mixed feelings. On one hand, star photography is a cool idea trying for a good picture felt good, and upgrades are always fun. From the other- I have a fairly beefy PC and the game lagged when displaying a cluster of stars, and the gameplay could have been more... involved I guess? There could be a bit more "to do". Also sometimes I was sure I aimed at two phenomena at once, but only photographed one.

Creativity. I've never played a game about selling photos of the sky, so guess you get points here :)

Graphics. Pretty nice! I liked the old-timey look. I liked how many different phenomena were there. I liked how the upgrade screen had the "brass plate" look to it.

Audio. I restarted the game a couple of times, checked my headphones, but I couldn't hear anything. Was this on my end? Because some background music (or sounds of night) would work for the atmosphere

Theme. This is what I think, when I hear "stargazing". This fits the theme perfectly. Good job!

Developer

Thanks for the detailed feedback
There are  actually some subtle sounds in the game, but I wanted the player to feel at peace while stargazing. For me when you're looking at the stars you should be able to focus on them, so loud or continuous sounds didnt really feel like they fit the theme. I wanted the audio to stay more in the background instead of constantly demanding attention. Glad you liked the idea, visuals and theme tho :)

I will just start with one major downside (sorry). It gives me hella AI vibe-coded vibes. Like I don't mind creating stuff with AI (using some AI help myself), but the looks of it, how things are placed, fonts etc. it looks 99% generated. It looks like Claude Code Arifact 1:1.

I really hope there were something more than just clicking "Yes, generate more". At the end of the day it is jam and it is fun to learn something and help each other improve :)

Gameplay / Fun / Engagement

The gameplay is pretty impressive for jam game. Liked it alot.

Creativity / Experiment

Gameplay is simple, but it is very theme driven. Not amazingly experimental, but it is fine.

Art Style / Visuals

Visuals are neat, very clean, simple. Like it a lot. Gold looks great.

Audio / Sound Design

There is some simple sound, so it fine

Theme

Well, its great. Stargazing at its finest. 10/10

Developer

Thanks bro, appreciate the feedback, positivity and understanding. I actually didnt use Claude at all, but yeah I did use other AI tools while making it. I definitely wouldnt say it was 99% AI tho, more like I used AI to help myself with some things and make certain parts better or faster. There was still a lot of my own work, decisions and time put into the game. Glad you liked the gameplay and theme tho :)

Really fun, and I love the variety in upgrades you could buy. The game was admitedly kind of laggy when many events spawned at once, but I don't know if that's a problem on my end or not, so it won't affect the score

Developer

Thanks a lot, really appreciate it! And yeah the lag can happen a bit when a lot of events spawn at once, so thats something I could improve. I checked out your game too and its really polished and fun, had a great time with it :)

Broo this feels like those flash upgrade games, I love the whole vibe of it, I really do. Focusing was a bit difficult for me but only because it was a bit laggy. Very cool game and art. Love it.

Developer

Glad you liked the vibe and the upgrades :) I checked out your game too and its really fun, especially the minigames, they were great and made the whole thing feel super polished. Had a lot of fun with it!

This genuinely feels like one of the most complete games I’ve played in the jam. The telescope controls and glass-plate photography are such a unique take on stargazing, and I love that the sky keeps changing so you’re constantly deciding whether something is worth using a plate on. I kept saying ‘one more photo’ because I wanted to see what rare event would appear next. The art, atmosphere and overall presentation are incredibly polished for a jam game. This honestly feels like a serious contender for the top spot.

Developer (1 edit)

really appreciate the kind words! Im really glad you enjoyed the telescope controls, photography system and the changing sky. Means a lot that it kept you wanting one more photo haha. Thanks again for the support :)

Very cool game! I really like the gameplay and the art a lot. The Gallery of Stars kept me playing just to capture all the stars, haha! The art is really good, and honestly, this might be the best game I’ve played in the jam so far. It fits the jam theme really well too. I’ll definitely keep playing until I find all the stars! 😂

Developer(+2)

Thank you, I really appreciate that. I spent a lot of time and energy making the game, so it means a lot to hear that you enjoyed it, especially the Gallery of Stars. I’m glad it gave you a reason to keep playing and trying to find everything.
