What a very cool game! I always loved space-themed games and y'all nailed at this. I especially loved all the art. It's pretty interesting to see a game with the same movement mechanics as well!
very good game, good music and graphics, too, I advise everyone To Play the game is really very interesting! Even with a plot ! The developers are great! If you have time, rate my Game And I will be very glad to hear your feedback :) Good luck to you
Fun stuff, a bit like asteroid as a journey. I love the setting and overall design. Only thing missing for me is a way to keep going if your battery runs out in the void of space.
Thank you! I dont understand the last part of your comment. When you run out of fuel, it should appear a game over screen and let you restart the game. Does it not work like that for you? I got a person that sometimes gets a black screen if they loose because the alien starves and they cant continue if they do not restart the website, but if that happens to you in the run out of batteries game over, thats a bug I still didnt know about until now!
EDIT: Ok we are testing it now and the black screen appears everytime the slug starves, maybe thats what happen to you? It is weird because it was working fine in almost every computer I tested it except from one, and I didnt update teh files since then
EDIT2: Ok I think the problem is that the starving game over doesnt work fine if you skip the tutorial, it works fine if you play the tutorial. May that be your issue? I'll update it fixed once the jam finish, thank so much for let me know!
Creative, fun, and intuitive! I liked the risk/reward aspect of charging your battery vs. finding food for the alien. I also thought the UI was clean and polished and I liked the artwork for the characters. Awesome work!
Clever use of the wildcards, good job :)
Seriously such a cool game. Everything about this fits together so well. It feels so satisfying flying around controlling the ship. Really awesome game and super well polished, great job!
I just barely made the alien home; there wasn't any algae at the second to last or last star, so I ended up having to book it with just a little time left before the poor alien starved. I think the random difficulty was a good balance with constantly having to move but usually finding just enough algae to keep going. I don't know if it was intentional, but on 2 plays the galaxy was a U shape so the alien's home was a fairly short trip away but impossible to reach with my fuel so I'm forced to take the long way. Pretty cheeky if so! Great game!
I really like the concept of the alien’s face. I think it’s very interesting, and the music sounds really nice too. I feel like these two elements work really well together. 👽🎶
I will say I really like your game here is what I think you could improve add a sfx when your spaceship gets energy or from the stars so it's not just a visual clue it's also sound, same with the actual charging and launching, other than that I am pretty happy about it and I have played it a while ago but stupid itch did not let me comment and thinks I am a bot
This one has some of the best artwork in the whole jam.
I really enjoyed this one! It is pretty well sized for a game jam, it fit the theme well, and the music matched the urgency feeling well. The story pulled me in but didn't overstay its welcome with too many screens of text. Nice drawings too!
This was cool and very well made. I do wish there was something else to the flying though as it took a long time to charge and get to the destination, there just wasn't a whole lot else going on. Great entry overall.
Wow, this is one of the most well-designed and fun submissions I've played! The movement controls are well-tuned, and I like how the hunger mechanic forces a tradeoff between sitting on a star to charge vs progressing forward.
Awesome job!
Thank you so much! A little bit unrelated but this week I also participated in the brakeys gamejam and your game inspired me a lot for the game I did, if you want to check it out :)
Great work! the map design is very cool and i like the tension between distance and food
WOW this was a good game!! The artwork is stellar and it's genuinely challenging without being overly difficult. They only thing I'd suggest is maybe adding some sound effects.
Very nice graphics, and good controls (I love that you added ability to use keyboard keys in addition to mouse buttons, using right click on touchpad is... not fun :D). I had fun, and it was harder than initially looked (algae are not so common in space it appears), I took few tries but did not get to alien's planet. Still had a lot of fun, and it was nice to see another space game (and even with better graphics than mine) :)
The game is good, the graphics are very pleasant and the attention to Detail would also like more Sounds like the sound of a rocket or something else, it's definitely worth playing the game.
very funny, art style is amazing and the gameplay is simple and entertaining. Great job!!
This one is really good. Great game you guys.
Loved it! The art is great and the controls were simple and intuitive. Lots of fun! :)
