Did your team create most/all of the graphics yourselves?
Yes. I created all of the graphics myself.

Did your team create most of/all the audio yourselves?
I created all of the SFX. The music was sourced from Pixabay.

How did you incorporate the theme "UNSTABLE"?
I incorporated the theme directly into the core mechanic: the player builds a physics-based tower where every block can shift, wobble, and collapse. The falling blocks never lock into place, making the tower increasingly unstable as it grows.

I think you’ve done a pretty good job of reimagining Tetris)

Developer (2 edits)

Thank you :) Glad you liked the physics twist.

Good idea, but with room for improvement. The pieces can pass through the sides of the screen and don't reposition themselves; they could appear on the other side.

I like the upward movement and that the camera follows the tower. But a zoom out would be epic, so you can see the tower completely collapse as it falls from a great height.

Interesting idea.

Developer (2 edits)

Yes, a zoom out during  collapse would actually be really cool :D Thanks for the feedback.

One of the best games I've tried so far!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you so much :D
Edit: I like your game too.  Great use of humour.

Took me a failed run before understanding the mechanics, but it was pretty fun trying to balance the tower. I did like you can just dump pieces you don't want into the abyss. I was a bit confused on when the loss mechanic would fire, but overall really enjoyed the game, well done!

Developer (2 edits)

Yes, the lose condition could definitely be clearer, glad u still enjoyed it :) and dumping bad pieces is very intentional.

I was pleasantly surprised to get 9990 on my first try. Kudos!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

9990 first try is really good :D Thanks

It was fun, I got 14390. I liked this take on a tetris-like game. It introduced a whole bunch of new considerations, and felt new to me. Especially at higher stacks, the instability also really came across/ I feel like the limited ability to steer the blocks in the air was also very fun, and allowed a bit more of a feeling of control while still maintaining the instability aspect. Great job!

Edit: I played a second round, and I actually quite like the ability to let some blocks fall without losing. It allows for fun things like using pieces to hammer other pieces into place, or to knock pieces off that aren't as flat so you have a more stable platform to build on. Currently at 21030!

Developer (2 edits)

21030 is crazy. Good job :D Glad you gave it another go, and yes, using bad pieces to fix the tower is one of my favourite parts.

Got over 10k in my first try, like the freedom you get with being able to drop off blocks anywhere.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

10k first try is insane :D Glad you liked being able to throw bad blocks away.

Submitted(+1)

Fun idea and implemented quite well! When my two little tetrominoes didn't magically snap together when I dropped them down I had to retrain my tetris brain to think about the physics instead.

Developer(+1)

haha, you kinda have to unlearn tetris once the physics kick in :)

Submitted(+1)

Basically a copy of tricky towers. Decent implementation still. It is awkward how you're allowed to just drop any number of blocks off.

Developer

I didn't know about Tricky Towers but I see the similarity now.  Fair point about throwing away too many blocks, I might add a limit.

Nice idea and very fun to play

Developer

Thanks glad u liked it :)

Pretty nice, but definitely feels like 'lose state' is a little broken. Got to over 8k just spamming blocks as they spawned because you don't fail if blocks fall off - just when camera would have to go down to see the peak of the tower.

Developer

Yeah thats fair, i wanted throwing away bad blocks to be a strategy but its probably too easy to abuse. I might add a limit to how many you can throw away.

i got 7230. nice game

Developer

thanks, 7230 is solid :D

You've come up with a great idea by reimagining Tetris to fit the "unstable" theme, the game is really fun to play.

Developer

Thanks, glad the unstable part came through :)

Cool idea! I got 3750

Developer

nice thanks for playing :D
