Did your team create most/all of the graphics yourselves?
I created all of the graphics by myself.

Did your team create most of/all the audio yourselves?
I composed the music myself. For the sound effects, I used free-to-use sounds, credited on the game's page, and edited them to fit the game.

How did you incorporate the theme "UNSTABLE"?
You are tied to an “unstable” boulder that becomes increasingly unstable over time and with each collision, until it eventually explodes. Since the boulder is attached to you by a rope, you only control its movement indirectly, making the gameplay itself somewhat unstable.

You really nailed the theme. I must have retried some of these levels dozens and dozens of times. It looks great and you made amazing use of the sfx, especially with the boulder. It always felt very tense while playing and I loved that.

I never thought that I would be proficient at drifting a rock, but here I am after finishing your game. The game has a simple yet super fun idea, some of the levels where kinda hard but dark souls too is kinda hard... I dig the art and what you did with the music, witch is crazy to see that you did all that by your self! Great job!

Thank you so much for your feedback :)

I really like how intricate the boulder is, in particular how it interacts with its environment and builds tension for the player with its visual. Physics/controls handle super nicely too, really great work!

Another challenging game... I played your game, but I started hitting the rock right from the very first level :D Good job. I hope you’ll play my game and rate it too :) (Rated)

Great game, though a bit hard.

I really liked this. I couldn't quite get past level 3. I liked that the rock got unstable in response to crashing but considering that the rock also becomes unstable after a few seconds of gameplay, I found it tricky to get to the goal in level 3 because I was trying to race to get to the objective. I don't think it's impossible as I did get close a few times. But if that wall in the middle was just a little shorter, it might have made it easier to navigate. I think this one of those things where the rock's instability could be in proportion to the difficulty of the level. So for the first level, I think it's fine if the rock becomes unstable after a few seconds but in levels with more hazards, it might be nice to increase the time of the rock's instability so that people don't feel they have to risk crashing into walls in their haste to get to the objective.

I did really like that the rock would explode based on the force in which it would hit the wall. I noticed that if it lightly brushed against the wall, it would become unstable but would explode if I was rushing and got flung into the wall. And the rock itself was nicely done. I liked the glowing effect as it got more unstable.

Cool game! Really fun but I kinda got stuck at level 3. I'm always almost there but it still ends up exploding

I got up to the spiral level featured in the game images.

I enjoyed your game quite much: simple mechanic, challenging levels, engaging gameplay, clean art and UI. Great job!!

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it!

Good concept, with pretty hard levels! It is too bad because I'm sure a lot of people will struggle to pass the level with the two tiny holes to cross (level 4 or 5 ? I don't remember). I think something could be done to make it a bit easier, because it's one of the first levels and it's already extremely difficult. Maybe just giving more time would help? Currently there is no room for error, and for game jam games I think it is better to have a too easy game than a too difficult one.
Other than that the mechanic is really cool, and the physics work pretty well. There is a lot that could be done with that concept.

(btw rien à voir mais j'ai checké ton linkedin et il se trouve qu'on a tous les deux fait telecom nancy ^^' le monde est petit)

This is a great concept! Love the visuals and the music was awesome. The game is quite difficult but it made me want to keep trying to complete the levels. Good job!

Nice concept and take on the jam theme! The art is also great, with the simple yet fun character (and the logo is really good as well!). I found the game quite difficult - perhaps I'm just not very good at it but I think a more gentle difficulty curve would have helped me.

Thank you so much!

Hi liked this game, couldn't get over the level 3 though.. its getting harder with each level thats amazing.. However, I am bad at keyboard controls, was wondering if it supports Controllers..?

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing!

Yeah, you kind of have to learn how the rock moves to go further in the game. It's not easy at first. I porbably should have add more easy levels at the beginning.
Sadly I did not have time to support controllers.

Nicely polished game! I think you should stick to either the boulder becoming unstable over time or with collisions and not both as it makes it very difficult. Fun level design and unique concept.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I agree, but I wanted to keep the precision aspect. If the player has too much time, though, there’s not much of a challenge since they can just take their time to position themselves. I might have given them a bit more time, though.

Very fun! Could see this being popular with a bit more polish around the sound and movements. Good job!

Check out my game if you get a chance!
