Wow, i wasn't expecting some else having the same idea as us, very well made game and very fun, the rules and evidences all seems so random, i love it.
I liked how I had to ignore all the tank driving and heavy weaponry purchases by some suspects :) And also liked that after promotion there were more simultaneous cases to solve. Nice visuals, nice audio (despite no music, but somehow it was fitting), I'm not sure if there is any winning/losing condition, but I could just keep playing for a while even if not ;) I had fun, I must say I came here after reviewing "Don't get the company charged" by seeing a comment that you made a game in the same genre, I like that yours are different enough to be a bit unique. And I haven't seen other entries with this same genre than those 2 yet (so, good and original choice I guess).
interesting game I think it is very solid just needs some background music that does not ruin your focus
The amount of people blatantly in possession of food at the bank is truly sickening.
I meant to get through a bunch of games tonight but just played this one instead :| well done
Love the interpretation of the theme here. The SFX were super juicy and I really enjoyed how satisfying it was to pull the documents over and sift through them. I wish there was some music (maybe some light elevator music? XD) but the concept is very solid and a great fun time.
Yippie! I like the paper SFX more than I expected. Nice idea!
I had a good time, and I liked the deductive elements. That said, I think it would actually be more fun to hide the percentages from the user, so you have to just do a good job instead of brute force adding something to the evidence folder. As is, if you check the folder after every new piece of evidence you can see if it helps or hurts your case, which means you don't actually have to think as hard about what you add
Fun game! I like to collect the evidence to acuse people of stupid illegal things. Still I dont know if the percentages are just; if i give 4 evidence that the suspect is with the thing atthe place and then it is declared inocent... it doesnt seem fair
EDIT: Ok I got now how it works. Still it seems weird that a person selling an animal in the beach once doest count as illegal animall selling in the beatch but if you find them 5 times at the beach and 10 times with animals in other situations that will do.
I wanted to complete this game so bad I let the computer on all the afternoon while going to work so i can return to complete the game later.
Its 2AM here but I just was able to finish it. I really like the mechanic :) Funny
This in quite a unique and original take on the theme ! I the game feels rely polished and good looking with the papers plese inspiration as well as for me having zero bugs or crashes albeeit i only got to asociate rank + 100 exp. Its cool theat thear are a couple types of evidence but the problem is theat moust of it is kind of dry, like the recieeps only have a single type of items like weapons, food or vehicles and usualy i am just looking at the name of the person and if any keywords from the lawbook show up and then after chosing a charge puting anything theat remotely may corelate a bit with the crime in, also i never got the importance of time on evidence, and evidence in a folder sould probably show it's efects on the case chances as you can just individualy add and remove all the pices to see if they increase or decrease the chances, i thik it would have been beter if you could permanently dicard usless evidence for more random evidence with a cap instead of going to the next day . Also it would have been cool to be able to maybe ask a couple questions to the suspects through a text box with a couple options. I think the game would work a lot beter if each case was hand crafted and ther were no rng just minimum evidence requrements, of course this would defenetly fall ouside of the scope of a game theat can probably be made in a jam. Overall the game is polished looks realy sharp, it feels good and plays well it just gets kind of dull after a bit, also a simple monotone track would have made the atmosphere even better as the sfx are allready crunchi and satisfing.
A unique spin on putting in charges. Overall great game and I it feels good to get things right. A minor issue would be the limited space on the desk. But I guess thats intentional.
Really fun and original take on the theme! I liked the puzzle element of figuring out what they did, and then figuring out how to build your case. Awesome work! One small feedback is I found the controls to be a bit glitchy at times-- items were getting dropped into the case file even if my mouse wasn't anywhere near it, and the first time I loaded the game the tutorial book wouldn't let me switch the page.
Excellent laws! Also very fun and charming game, lots of repeat offenders too---bringing whole menageries of animals into the library and such. I liked your take on the theme, nice work!
I liked how some case start with having to piece together what crime they actually did rather than just grabbing proof. A non jam version I can imagine what they did could be very vague and you’d need to comb through a bunch of circumstantial evidence. When shuffling the papers in the folders I sometimes covered up the numbers giving the convict and escape chances and would be forced to reorganize to see them. It would be better if they were displayed above the papers or code stops papers from being placed on their spot. Great game!
Incredibly fun, very awesome graphics and a very cool and i'd say original concept.
I, as a person with bad eyesight, did have a bit of trouble with reading the guide and the other papers sometimes. The lack of music also kinda sucked.
But everthing else was awesome. I really love how the case proceeds when you submit it. Like so much cool in this game.
Seriously. You know this was a jam, right? How on earth did you get so much done in such a short amount of time? Great work!
I love the use of the theme, it’s absolutely perfect. Only thing I’m missing is the Charlie Day meme connecting all the evidence together.
This is such a great concept for a puzzle game! I was hooked playing it. Good work!
