Thanks for playing my game! I was able to get in the hundreds but I wasn't really paying too much attention during dev time 😂

Cool concept for a game, you mentioned this isn't finished and I think that it's in a good enough state to see what you're going for. I couldn't really tell what morphing skewers did, would be nice to know if they are increasing damage, giving you triple charge in air, something else?

I liked the theming, and I love a good matching game. Nice work!

I loved this game! Super cute and I loved all the audio and the aesthetic.

cool! good luck!

Such a cute game, and I loved the core loop! Would be cool if you could purchase decorations for your shop that impact customer's willingness to purchase goods, or just to make it look nicer :]

I liked the game a lot and I thought the concept was great! Would personally have appreciated joypad controls, but I get that it's a game jam :)

Mild bug, when you hit "maximum cat" and the cat leaves the trans pride rainbow, it doesn't get removed after you hit "next run". Overall fun and good use of the theme!

I was very pleasantly surprised for this being your first GWJ! The level of polish is super high for a jam game, and I really liked it. TBQH I would probably pay for it, I think you should make more levels and do a full release

I'm maybe dumb but I couldn't really tell what I was supposed to be doing besides pressing the button

I love the idea of a pikmin/bullet hell combo, I would have appreciated an upgrade system so you can recharge bulls faster or something like that. Also, I liked the sound effects, and would have liked if there was a sound effect for when you get hit

I liked the idea and use of the theme, it'd be nice if you could fullscreen the game

I like the idea a lot, and I think that if you updated the game it could be really cool. I would have liked if the routes you travel along had lines showing the tradeoffs you make, I was confused and tried to backtrack once or twice before realizing you couldn't go back... Also, like Slay the Spire it'd be nice if you know which type of event each new planet is so you can be more strategic

Yeah I liked the cute rabbits but I would appreciate some understanding of what the objective is and how to accomplish it, which just updating the itch page would help with

Agreed with MythAcre, I like the idea of the game but it feels a little underdeveloped. Perhaps you could limit the amount of inventory you have to sell each day, and then get a store where you can spend the money in between each day. There's also no indication of what prices are acceptable to customers, so perhaps you can use a scale of like, smiley face to frowny face, to describe how willing customers are to buy each item at each price

I love the little armadillo! It would be cool if the armadillo unrolled when it's not moving, so you can see his little face and such :) I liked the controls, but I did find myself wishing I could dash backwards if I held the back arrow while charging the dash

I liked the graphics and audio, but this game needs some control explanations. I couldn't figure out how to recharge at the terminals, and also it was unclear what the space bar did apart from suddenly drain your battery meter. If you could add some instructions to the description that would be helpful!

Thank you much! It definitely makes me want to compete in more :)

I had a good time, and I liked the deductive elements. That said, I think it would actually be more fun to hide the percentages from the user, so you have to just do a good job instead of brute force adding something to the evidence folder. As is, if you check the folder after every new piece of evidence you can see if it helps or hurts your case, which means you don't actually have to think as hard about what you add

Thanks very much for the comment! Glad you had fun and yep definitely have some room for improvement haha.

Thanks for the reproduction steps!

Thanks for playing! Were you able to just walk through the fence, or was it after a charge attack or knock back perhaps? I'm looking at releasing a patch and expanding in the future so just curious how to reproduce! Hope you had fun :)

eels are cute :sob: the game was a ton of fun, and super unique! I thought the difficulty was good and it ramped appropriately

incredible, loved the game. I played through the tutorial and 7 of the levels, and really enjoyed how quickly you got feedback, though it would be cool to get a live tracker for whatever medal you currently are receiving (so starting off with gold, and then as the timer ticks up, you show the user that they are now in silver or bronze or no medal territory). Loved the graphics and the tom cardy-ness of it all

omg is this a tom cardy reference

OMG i love the art style so much, this game is full of charm. I finished all the levels you had, and liked how you built on the jump/charge mechanic.

Nice work! I really liked the art style, and agree with l-red about the gameplay aspects. I audibly laughed when I first heard the "oof"s

I liked the art you had :) maybe next time you could outline the character with black, it was hard to distinguish the gray character on the gray backgrounds

I really liked the little slimes! I would have liked it if the charge on the sword was slightly shorter, because I felt like I was mostly kiting the enemies around to stay alive. High Score 105 ;)

I encountered an unknown bug that caused the game to crash for me right at the beginning, and I couldn't access all of the content. Maybe you can open a ticket and upload a new version without the crashing problem?

(1 edit)

I think that your web version at least is missing some keybinds, I could successfully open the menu and jump, but i couldn't move at all using the default keybinds of wasd, I'd file a support ticket in the discord and see if you can upload a new version

thank you! i hope you had fun ;)

I can definitely see where you're going with the idea, would love to check out the larger version you mentioned on the game's page!

I loved the little cats :sob: I enjoyed the game but it started to feel a bit repetitive once I had maxed out the thermal generators and had enough turrets that my base thingy never got attacked. Would love more buildings that you can add or different resources to manage!

Thanks, much appreciated!

I like your interpretation of the theme, I could have used a tutorial to understand the gameplay better. Also you had some unrecognized characters (like text characters) in the game that were not being displayed properly

I thought this was pretty fun. Congrats on your first game jam (this is mine too :3) I think your keybind for R might be broken in the browser, I couldn't reset the level. I also think the limited movement combined with a charger that worked an infinite number of times lead to a more conservative playstyle where I just went back to the charger all the time, if you were gonna do an update I might limit how many times a given charger can be used.

Very nice game, I loved the art and the music, and think it fit the theme very well!

Kind of echoing other players, I personally felt like the controls were a bit awkward, and I didn't feel like the spells made a ton of sense to me. I liked the artwork and the inclusion of the dog :)

I liked how you interpreted the theme, and I love the art style!
