This feels like a prototype for a bigger game, more than a jam entry. Really impressive, congrats :o

There's two strategies, either you use pasta to do very long rounds and build up, or olives and cash-in quickly. Both are fun, the first one is a bit too safe imo. You were talking about wanting to work on the balance of the game, so here'e a few ideas :
- I feel like cards are too cheap, you can generally play every card you want
- you could have a card that increases your energy for your next hand, that could let you enable combos that are impossible with only 3 energy
- you could have cards that do something based on what you've already played this round (e.g. +1 money for every carrot you played this round)
- realistically, take inspiration from Slay the Spire and the likes lol (which I guess you were already doing). It's good to not just copy without innovating though

- also, basil is just pasta but worse, but that's not necessarily a bad thing : it forces the player to be critical about the choices they are given. To become better at the game, you have to learn to avoid the bad options

Thank you for the feedback! My teammates inspiration came from Slay the Spire and I added my perspective from boardgames side. There is lots to add to make it better :)

Very fun deckbuilder with a very unique theme, lovely visual art and sound effects, and some nice details! Well done! :)

Fun little game. Not sure how I felt about serving customers rats and then hearing a YUM but it was overall an enjoyable game. Getting to $100 gold seems like it will take a long time. Some background music might make that feel less boring. Good work!!

Check out my game if you get a chance 😊.

Developer

Hahaha yes, the YUM is questionable when the bowl is full of rats :D We didn't have time to add in all the sounds and music. Will do after the jam!

I loved the card art!  Ran into one little bug where you could basically softlock yourself if you clicked end turn while it was expecting you to discard a card (basically just needed to make it forced you to select the card and confirm and nothing else).  Great job!

Developer

Thanks, we will keep it in mind!

Nice one! Love the idea and it was super fun to play. We smartly invested 10 buck on two pasta cards on day 5 and that kinda broke the balance - we finished the game on day 6,  but it was still fun to earn that sweet cash and exterminate those rodents :D great job!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! We will deal with balance after the jam based on players opinions. Pasta is pretty strong, I managed to win on day 2 with it :D
