How does the game fit the theme?
The game ties into the theme on multiple levels. The whole world is built on suspicion, every character you meet might be lying to you, using you, or hiding who they really are.
On top of that, you yourself can cheat, but doing so lowers the trust the other players have in you, and if it reaches zero, you die.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Mostly all made by myself. Except for sound/music.

Awesome atmosphere, which is hard to nail in a short dev time. Great job and great game.

Pretty fun game, I really like the vibes of the game, music, visuals, everything fits very well. And overall it was easy to understand, nice game! The fun fact is, I have made a similar game for a jam, "Stacked deck", where you play as a dealer cheating off haha

Pretty incredible. Probably spent as much time playing this game as all the other 20 I’ve rated combined. I’m happy to see the audio at least was taken from elsewhere, otherwise I would be too intimidated by this solo submission to ever participate in a jam again

My only minor complaint is that I was hoping for a slightly happier ending for keeping Tony’s family alive and refusing to kill anyone

Very fun! The atmosphere is amazing, and the trust mechanic is very good.

This game is so addicting!! I played several times. Love the atmosphere, the strategy introduced by the trust level mechanic and the bits of story woven in. It’s all very polished and engaging.

I’m only sad because on 2 of my playthroughs the game just went to black after round 4 or 5ish and wouldn’t proceed :((

Major kudos to the team- oh holy shit just one person!! Good job!!!

great artsyle and sounds! The theme twists add a lot to the game

Reminded me of Flip 7 and I had to keep playing. This was good! I like how you added twists to make it more interesting and fit the theme. Great job! ^^

I really like the game's atmosphere and the twists you put into it—otherwise, it would have been rather dull. Maybe extra points could be awarded for things like straights? Also, I expected drawing a 1 to mean sudden death for the round, but it wasn't. My ending (number 6) took me by surprise; I believe I wasn't even cheating at that moment!

As a suggestion to improve the gameplay: the player is always the first to draw a card in a round, which puts them at a disadvantage.

Overall a neat entry fitting the theme perfectly.

Hey, thanks for playing and for the feedback! What exactly do you mean by your suggestion? Do you mean during the first two days, when you’re can't cheat? Otherwise, why is it a disadvantage for the player to draw first?

Submitted(+1)

Drawing first means you are the first one who can get busted. Furthermore, when you are counting cards to calculate your chances, you will have more information than your peers if you sit later at the table. Therefore, acting later provides an information advantage over other players. To keep the game fair, it is better to switch the starting player each round. For example, the new round could start with the player who earned the most in the previous round, or the one who drew the last card.

Thanks for the clarification :)
