How does the game fit the theme?
Aliens exist, they came to earth a while ago, you don't care. You just work in customs, humans can be bad, aliens can be good, your job is just to make sure the passport matches the person.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Music used was made by https://flowerheadmusic.itch.io/
and additional sound effects are tweaked version of public domain recordings from freesound.org

How many people worked on the game?

I think the patch period is up now. so I will mention this here to help people.
There is a bug that can seemingly soft lock the game with franks sprites. (the guy in the yellow bird onesie) due to him being taller than the other characters his passport is held out slightly higher than the other characters. just enough to be outside the button that progresses the game. This is on be because I didn’t think to make the button that progresses the game take up all of the space of the passports collision box.

to circumvent this bug, when frank (the guy in the yellow bird onesie) is chosen grab below his hand when grabbing his passport, or once you have his passport click below his hand.

sorry if this broke anyone’s runs. Ive already got a fix lined up for after the game jam.

Love the art work and the music.

Chill little game, the visuals are at a professional level, I'm really impressed, loved how the characters look and all the little papers on the desk.. Bravo ! Definitely a best visuals contender here

Oddly therapeutic. Guess I'm cut out for alien customs work. The art is cute and charming, and the gameplay loop is relatively simple. The font did mess me up at times, but I still made it to the end. Great work.

Nice peter griffin pose with the fired result screen. Simple effective gameplay, not bad. The art for characters being rejected is so cute too.

I love the idea and how cute the characters are well done!

Love the art.
I was a little confused on what to do because the people kept disappearing after I entered their passport number but the comments helped me figure it out.

There is seemingly a bug where after you take a passport the character still has it and you can't press the eject button and I lost a run to that.

There's some issues but it's nice and I smile :  )

Fun concept! I love the art.

I didn't initially realise I was meant to drag the ID away from the person. I would enter the ID number, and since the ID was on top of them, they'd take it immediately and leave. Maybe you could require the player to drag the ID over to a scanner behind the screen to avoid this?

Otherwise a very cute game :)

I'm glad you liked the art!
As for the issue with the ID, that was a known bug that we tried troubleshooting, its on the list of things we want to update after the jam :D

The game was chilled but it felt like "Papers, please" as a jam Version :D

Still fun to Play, really nice art :3
