This game was absolutely beautiful. I love the 2d-3d art style! The combat also felt very smooth but I think I might have encountered a bug. A lot of times, I would be locked into one slash direction, no matter what direction I was running. For example, I may be running to the left, but every time I slash, it attack to the right. This became a lot more annoying during the boss fight as would be facing a boss/enemy and trying to attack, but my attacks would go in the opposite direction. But other than that, I had no major issues with the game. It looks and feels very polished!

Loved the trust idea here, having spirits offer heals or buffs while you're stuck with a broken sword makes every choice feel a bit scary haha. The multiple endings are a nice touch too, I already wanted to see what happens if I trust different spirits next run. Boss felt a little tough compared to the rest, but this was super cool overall :D
Cool game, this is one my favs so far of the jam. Like the art style and the gameplay.
I like the art really! The audio is great aswell! The mechanics are simple to understand and it is a satisfying game!
Nice way to encourage replayability by having different endings affected by your decisions on whether to trust or not. There are lots of elements in there, including boss fights. Good job on that!
A very cute experience! The unique artstyle really makes this game something special.
2 small points of criticism:
- On my first run I only trusted some of the spirits, but the end dialogue said I trusted all of them. Just though it was weird after the choices I made.
- The boss can collide with the other enemies, which made me realize pretty quickly that I can use the boss as a shield to block the enemies on its other side, while I attack with no problems. It's worth disabling their collisions to keep the fight fair.
Overall great work with this!
Thank you so much! That ending dialogue definitely shouldn’t appear unless every spirit was trusted. Do you happen to remember which spirits you trusted or refused? I tried a neutral run but couldn’t reproduce it, so knowing your exact choices would really help me track it down.
And great catch with the boss collisions! I actually left that in because I thought some players might appreciate being able to use the boss as a barrier if they were struggling with the fight.
Really nice game, it looked and sounded great and the combat was very intuitive and felt good, which I know isn't easy to pull off in one week. The boss fight was great too, so many different mechanics. I did find it extremely difficult personally, much moreso than the rest of the game, took me many attempts. But it was still very cool and well-executed. Great work!
