How does the game fit the theme?
You hire new employees, or not. Interview them and decide if they seem trustworthy.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I did everything myself.

How many people worked on the game?

Pretty nice game, the noise map looked great with this, glad you chose that over a solid color.

Other than that, the gameplay was pretty good, it became a bit repetitive after 3-5 viruses, but nevertheless a solid game

I really like the combination of 2D and 3D and the dialogue is funny. Good job!

Its a good execution, It really surprised me in a good way when it went into 3D. Could use a little optimization but other than that it was awesome

Developer

Thank you! And yeah, there are some unintended bugs.

I like the idea of a clicker game, and the consequence of hiring the wrong employee is a nice touch. The 3D transition scene is very cool as well. Good job, and congrats on the game!

Developer

Thanks! I wanted to put a twist on the clicker-genre and decided to go with the 3D transition.

The art is great, the idea can easily be expanded with more content. I liked the hiring the employee. you should start the game with that so the player can see it sooner its quite cool. when hiring an employee you should move the hire buttons or add some timer because when i was asking the employee a question i accidentally clicked the hire button right after. sometimes if you click really fast it starts to bug or slow down. great job tho.

Developer

Thank you! I did it myself. And I agree, it would be wise to show the main selling point at the start of the game, good advice. Thank you for the tips, ill think of that next time I make a game, or if i continue with this!

mining data and buying upgrades feels like a solid clicker base, and switching to the interview tab for the hire/fire calls is a nice twist on the genre. first jam and first finished project is genuinely impressive, hope you keep building on this one

Developer

Thank you, so happy you like it! I worked really hard on this, but im unsure if I will continue developing it, but maybe!

Such a fun clicker game! I really like how you mixed the clicking mechanics with dialogue and choices that actually made me stop and think about what to do. It makes the game feel a lot more interesting than a typical clicker!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! :))

I loved this game!

I don’t play a lot of clicker games but this was a SUPER cool take on this kind of game! The 3D integration scenes are very cool! I could not seem to understand the effect they had on the gameplay but the idea is extremely compelling!

Hahahsh thank you, it makes me so happy hearing that! My idea with the 3d-switching was that you as a agent work at a computer, and then you exit the computer to talk to employees "in real life", if you understand. Thank you for the feedback :))

The consequences for not having employees are the viruses which pop up which aren't much of an issue dealing with, so the point of the game, being to hire or fire employees, is kinda weak because of the weak consequences then. And as another comment said, theres only a few dialogue variations, making it very repetitive. Also, I am not sure if its a problem on my end only, but theres a large stutter when loading new stuff, like when i click for the first time after pressing play or out of the interviews, or when the viruses appear.

Developer

Yeah, the result of the game wasnt really how I imagined it from the start. The main idea was originally to be that some employees keep on hacking your computer, forcing you to fire the suspekt ones, but with the risk being that you fire a good employee.  And the stutter is not supposed to be there, it appeared after exporting the game to itch.io. The dialogue havent gotten much love hahahsh, Im aware, but that is what happens when you have a one man army, you gotta take priorities. This is my first game jam, and "finished" released game. But thank you for the detailed response. Hope you had fun despise all of the bugs!

Major cookie clicker vibes!

Developer

Yep, that was one of the insperations!

I love clicker games! But the employees seem to speak the same way. I couldn’t tell if there is any difference

Developer

Okay i see, i think that the dialogue lines didnt get as much attention as i wanted to give. Thank you for the feedback!
