Whoa, that animation is smooth! I love how well it shimmers!

lovely piece! we all love a smooth animation :) I like how the crystal actually looks like it's rotating (though I'm not sure if the lighting on it makes sense xD) and as a fellow crystal enjoyer, kudos

for future stuff,  I would recommend using more clusters of pixels for detailing, since isolated pixels draw attention and should be used more sparingly in spots of interest, and using them a lot can also make the piece look noisy unless it's used intentionally for stuff like rough and grunge textures, but I wouldn't worry about that yet and instead just practice using clusters. also less contrast in the background! such bright highlights should rarely be used for stuff not in focus, especially on plants since they're not very reflective like metals for example, so there shouldn't be that much of a difference between the brightest and darkest tones

I also struggled with the palette lol, and yea I spent a day on the reflections and had to call them good enough ... finding good reference materials for crystals reflecting light was a challenge so I had to just go with what I had. But that's what these tests are for! If I had more time I would have reworked several aspects of the composition, but for what it is I'm happy with how it turned out!

Gives me the monolith vibes, I like it!

The shine on the crystal moving independently might be a bit strange, and there could be more details in the foreground. The color works very well, and it blends to make the scene very grounded.  Overall a great piece

Overall the crystall and the background are great. The character can be improved, though mainly my problem is not enough characters. The low detail on them while great for making them feel like ants to the scale of the crystall it doesn't help the feeling of it missing something.

Just adding 2 or 3 more characters could improve the feeling and make the world feel more lived in.

yea I ran out of time... that corner is my least favorite part of the whole piece. I had planned to have someone walking in and out of the screen on the path... and actually have a camp over there.

I like what you done with the mountains. It blended with the foreground and the sky splendidly. Also the clouds looks really nice. For a improvement I guess the reflection of the crystal can be improved. Right now it look bit unnatural.

I agree, I spent too long getting it to that state as is... and I could spend another whole day perfecting it I bet lol

Whoa, that looks like it would have been a hassle to animate. Well done! Love me some floating crystals!
