How does the game fit the theme?
Thematically the game is about backstabbing nobles at a gala, fitting the theme of "trust no one" with a helping of deception. The gameplay mechanics encourage the player to use underhanded tricks to win and the opponent's true natures are revealed as rounds progress.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Use's Godot Simple Card Pile framework in C# (MIT License)

The art style in this one is super nice. All of the cards look really really nice. Excellent job! Kind of a fun little card game.

Nice art style, and interesting gameplay.  I think the AI needs to be a little smarter to apply a bit more pressure to the player lol, I was only ever hit by 1 attack.  Also, never forget to add a quit button!!!

First off, Jam projects that are download only never get alot of reviews, people just don't download that much and wanted to tell you as a heads up especially since it activated my anti virus meaning ill probably be the only brave soul to play you game during this jam. The art is good i like the hand drawn feel however there's no highlights or indicator of what i can click on so i had no idea what i could interact with which caused some confusion, but it's not bad good job, i liked the way the card game plays

Yaa for sure but thank you for your trust and courage!! We were trying out Godot C# which doesn’t currently have web export unfortunately. But thanks for going through the extra hoop and providing the feedback. Definitely ran out of time to do some of those QoL things like highlighting but totally agree.

Love the simple cartoony hand-drawn art style!  It might have been nice to have some kind of tutorial in the game, but I was able to mostly figure it out from reading the game page and experimenting, although some of the details still escaped me.  Seems like a well-thought-out core gameplay loop even though the learning curve was a little tricky.  Great work!

Thank you so much! The tutorial was a “should have” that we couldn’t find the time for but totally agree!

Update: tutorial is in!
