How does the game fit the theme?
The theme "Trust No One" is at the core of the game.

You play as a damned soul gambling your way through the underworld for another chance at life. Each opponent you face is another untrustworthy soul competing for the same thing.

The game is built around Liar's Dice, where bluffing, deception, reading your opponent, and deciding whether to trust their claims are the central mechanics. Every bid forces you to decide, are they telling the truth, or are they lying through their teeth.

Trust the wrong person, and the souls you wager may become theirs.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
With the exception of a third-party 3D paper lantern model, all code, artwork, music, sound effects, 3D assets, UI, shaders, and other game content used in the submitted build were created by our team during the jam.

How many people worked on the game?

Really cool art and audio, well done!

It’s an impressive game! Particularly in the art department! You seem to want to make this a full-fledged game, and we’d all be ready to back it up! Great work! :)

Wow! Really impressive! Good tracks

The visuals are very impressive, but honestly I was pretty disappointed with the gameplay. It's a well-known board game ported to digital with no changes to the mechanics.
That said, the characters are very beautiful, the music is nice, and the woman on the cover is absolutely stunning :D

It’s actually hard to review a game as incredible and polished as this one. I was truly impressed.

First of all, congratulations. You managed to blend the Jam theme perfectly with a narrative that, even without dialogue, really resonates with the concept, all while featuring killer visuals.

I’m not even sure I can say I missed having a tutorial, since everything made sense by my second playthrough. That said, a small "How to Play" section might be a nice addition.

I made it as far as the Minotaur during my run. From a game design perspective, I think introducing new types of dice mechanics would fit really well in a full version of the project. Right now, we have the "1," which acts as a wild card, but I believe adding other dice in the future would create great progression for the game.

Anyway, I just want to congratulate you again on the excellent work. I hope to see more of this project in the future.

Astonishing work, guys. Fantastic artworks for the opponents, great music and sound effects, and the gameplay is super polished with the satisyfing shaking mechanic and the clear yet beautiful UI. Absolutely fantastic!

So cool! Wish there was a tutorial or a how to play page. But enjoyed it nonetheless!

Despite the game not being finished I enjoyed it a lot playing it. The music and the visuals are stuning, I love how the 2D art is merged cohesively with the 3D. The UI art is precious too, my only complain is that some buttons and UI elements lack a hover or highlight style so sometimes I wasn't sure if where I had to click. I loved the game overall, one of the best I've seen in the jam, good job :}

Loved the art, whole game has a very cohesive aesthetic! Letting the player physically shake the dice each time was a nice touch.

Really great work! I like the characters and the gameplay a lot.

Amazing art and a killer atmosphere that pulls you right into the gamble. Gameplay mixes strategy and luck in a fun way. Super addictive and impressively polished overall.

Shame you didn't get the lantern done for the souls but otherwise pretty solid game. Good job devs

Incredible presentation. Beautiful work. GG!

Probably the best i played so far!! the presentation is very well done, the visuals and audio are pretty nice aswell, my only two gripes are having a drop down instead of having to type out the numbers, the other thing is that (unless im missing something) near the end of each round it basically becomes less strategic and more luck based where you can lose everything just because you guessed wrong, on the other hand doing multiple small wagers does make it play out a little too long even for the very first opponents

those minor stuff aside really well done game!!

The audio and art are gorgeous, congrats !!!!

Ooh that was really slick! I'm terrible at these kind of games but I managed to get to the third opponent at least! The comic style character art and overall atmosphere was *chef's kiss*

My god the art and music are pretty impressive. The opening scene really immersed me into the experience. You definitely captured the perfect vibe for a haunting game of dice with evil souls. Love it. Would definitely appreciate if you all could also rate and leave a constructive comment on my game :). https://weazel1.itch.io/lieght-the-way
