How does the game fit the theme?
The Player and NPCs take turn placing down cards, but you or another character can lie about what card they’re placing down— can’t trust anyone in this game.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
SFX materials and recordings from Freesound.org and ProSound, edited by team.

Hey!! I really did enjoy the premise and had fun playing, while I know this is a game jam game it would've been cool if it was multiplayer :). I will say that I didn't quite enjoy keeping track of the game by looking at the top right corner only and would've maybe liked text bubbles for each character instead? I really did like the art but would've liked a bit more life to our characters (animations would've been cool)!! It was also sort of surprising how the track that's being played in the play area felt the most repetitive despite it being the scene we would spend the most time in (the soundtrack is good! I love the jazz). I feel like most of the things I have to say are just me nitpicking but I loved it!! Kudos to y'all for pulling this off in a week!!
Thank you for playing! It's crazy to me that you're the first person who's actually pointed out the issue with the length of the main loop, it's been driving me crazy. Unfortunately i ran out of time to write proper music for it and had to use the temp track i made in like 5 minutes, hence the four bar loop pf drum and bassline lol. It was originally going to have layers for each opponent but that would've made it more repetitive so we cut it
regardless, thank you for the feedback! and thank you for caring about the audio enough to nitpick on it. We may try to work on multiplayer in the future!
Fantastic presentation!
The art is so good in all areas, especially loved the scuffed versions of real TCG cards. Music was a jam, and the SFX felt consistent and well selected.
Game play was easy enough to get to grips with, possibly could have had some more complications going on perhaps as the game as a whole progressed, or maybe just some higher difficulty opponents. I felt like the items were maybe a bit too strong!
Only real complain about the visuals was during play, I wanted to look at the amazing art not the top left corner of my screen to keep track of what is happening! Perfect world would also involve some little character animation or movement, but just bringing the indicators of what everyone is doing and what state the game is in closer to the table would have been nice. I felt like I didn't need/want to have my attention pulled away from the artists' amazing work!
The narrative and packaging of why the game was happening and who the players are and what the consequences were worked really well, it's such a cute setup (okay maybe Wuffles isn't that cute, but I'm sure they're a real good dog most of the time) and I appreciate having things framed nicely even when it's "just" a card game.
Overall an enjoyable time, with noticeable care taken to package and present it well.
Ooohhhh who's a good boyyyy, is it wuffles? It is wuffles! what a good boy, yes you are!
What was I doing again? I think this jam broke my brain.
This is a shit ton of people for a jam, damn. Anyways, the feedback:
Visuals: The art is good, though the play space is missing some effects, a vignette is always a cheep an easy effect, just a gradient texture to fade out the edges and add a bit of depth, even with a faint one. A good idea would also be background panning, so there is a bit more movement during gameplay when you move the cursor, another part is that a common effect with card selection is to make them scale up when selected to mimic picking them up. Also the tweens could use different types of transitions, cause linear rising and falling feels a bit robotic. Oh also change the default theme of the sliders in the settings, it takes a minute and makes the whole thing feel a lot more polished.
Gameplay: I mean it is a bit easy, making the items kind of useless since you can easily win just because of the AI being kind of dumb. Also it would be nice to have even like an in game tab to check the rules, cause not everybody will check the description and the game kind of starts you off on a timer since you're not the first in the turn order.
Apart from that, the sound design is good, again the art assets are pretty, but needs a bit more life, and better opponents would be nice.
Thank you for the detailed feedback!
The art are really cute !!! Very polished game !!!
One tiny thing : at the begenning of my playtest, i was always loosing, but i start to just skip every guess, and it's make me always win the round.
Very charming artstyle and I love that you can pick your little squeaky! :))
This is so cool! The music and the art are so well made, and the theming in the game is crazy well done! I also love the detail of the cards being from a bunch of different tcgs and boardgames :D
Ahhh tysm! it was fun to make cute lil guys, and the tcg sets were really fun to make goofy lol
OMG I bet, the one piece ones and the ditto one were so silly i love them!!
