Description
The game is an adventure fantasy 3d sidescrolling platformer. I wanted to give the feel that the world was lush and mythical, with drama layered into the story. I very much so feel that each of the tracks (especially the main theme) convey that effectively.
Theme
Songs of a Forgotten World
How does it fit the theme?
It fits more with the "forgotten world" aspect of the theme.

Very nice tracks! Ancient Pathways made me wish that the harp were a bit louder, because it is lovely. Congratulations!
Incredible work—a really cool, ancient sound—and wow, live-recorded instruments? This is the first entry I’ve seen with this use of instruments.
The writting is well done, you obviously know what you are doing with orchestration and arrangement. Some frequencies do sound a little too harsh, especially when the hurdy-gurdy (I think ?) and flutes play along, so you can improve mixing, but it's not a full on bad mix either, far from it. I also had to put my amp to quite the big volume to hear the third track well enough (the first half especially) so you can improve the normalization.
Otherwise, really great ! The music is captivating, would make for awesome BGM in a video game. GG !
This soundtrack is bass-ed
The intro track is compelling and does a great job of keeping the listener engaged. In the third track at the beginning, the mix sounds too quiet. Otherwise really well done overall!
Well done ! I feel like it could be in a game like Ori, the ambiance is well mastered, love the instruments used there.
My favourite track is Ancient Pathways, it suits well the traveling music and I love the harp and the trills on the strings. Love the notes on the flute 1:08, I'm fond of these things, it adds life like wind howling, insects flying, water flowing...
Great job !
Main Theme: The low flute is so beautiful. Your instrument choices really help with the world-building. The energy shift at the 1-minute mark was unexpected and was such a welcome surprise! The harp ostinato, the taiko, the nasal drone (pipes? nyckelharpa?), and the echoing sound that fades in and out are particular highlights that caught and kept my attention!
Ancient Pathways: This one in particular feels very well-suited for a video game level taking place in an area that feels lost to time. I particularly like the light rhythmic plucking pattern.
Forest of the Remembered: I love ancient and mystical forest themes! This one feels particularly ancient and somewhat dark or mysterious. The choir was a very nice addition to add both a more mythical nature and also a more human connection. I think this one is my favorite of the three!
This is a very nice collection of tracks with beautiful ancient-sounding harmonies, instruments, and motifs. I like the restraint you showed by not letting it get too big, which helps convey that these are echoes from the past rather than present conflict. Good work on these and thank you for sharing your music!
Thank you so much! I'm very happy that you enjoyed it so much. 😊 That nasal droning instrument you heard is a Baritone Bowed Psaltery that I recorded!
Good vibes, kinda feel like the strings are a little bit oversaturated? or maybe it's because i listened it on youtube and it killed the quality lol
In general or do you mean with the main theme specifically? If its the main theme, that's the only track I had my friend record strings for so I may have been heavy handed blending it in. If its the strings just in general, it may just be youtube haha
i meant main theme specifically, but it's okay
All the tracks are great, but Ancient Pathways is my favorite of the three. It has a sort of layered ostinato vibe, and I think you did a good job of bringing in and dropping out instruments at certain moments. Great work with this submission!
loved all the tracks!
