Hell yeah, time to rate another peak OST!!!!!!!!!

Once A Kingdom Of God - It tries so hard to sound relaxing, but there is a clear underlyying uncanny feeling following you throughout the whole track because of slight dissonances and synthetic instruments mimicking real ones. Really represents the lies "it" spread.

A_World_With_No_Core.wav - Starts as a mildly disturbing waltz, changing its pace as if it's trying to chase after something. And holy crap the further I am into the song the more creepy it is. It doesn't even try to hide how terrifyiyng this world have truly become.

The reason this world was forgotten - The chaotic mix of different amen breaks with sirens wailing in place of melody really gives off the feel of unimaginable suffering. The "conversation" of God and Hell using these highly synthetic tts voices makes it even more uncanny. Overall one of the most uncanny tracks I've heard in this whole jam.

A4rdable_Soul.TGT - Entering full ultrakill territory here, the glitchy stuttering of amen breaks is very satisfying to me for some reason. And of course the highly warped melody with soume industrial sounds while being in major brings back that same feel of the song desperately trying to hide the terrifying reality.

Overall - I'll try to to not be biased, lacks proper mixing a bit, but even that works with the style of the tracks, adding more uncanny feel to it. I'd say that the first track is a bit too long, but, considering there are full ambient 30 min long submissions out there, it's not that big of a deal. Save for the first track the tracks have a pretty simple melody, but tbh it's not like they need it that much. This is fire.

Woag.

I appreciate how detailed your feedback is. Thank you so much!

You've captured your vibe so well this feels like stumbling upon an ARG.  And then we go from almost ethereal in the first song to just grime at the end.  Yet the whole thing is cohesive and never loses its identity.  It's very intriguing, especially with the cipher at the end, it does give some closure (if i got it right).  Very fun, and great work

Developer(+2)

You have no idea how happy i am reading this. (You got it right)
Thank you so much for the kind words!!!

It sounds as though you have infiltrated another world to destroy it. The music feels like an attempt to annihilate everyone around you, even as you realize there has been nothing left to destroy for a long time. The world has consumed itself in the pursuit of the unattainable.

AND I FUCKING LOVE IT

Developer(+1)

Hehehe thank you thank you.
The lore was fully established from the 2nd track itself. So im glad to hear you managed to get that much lore out of the tracks.

Im happy you loved the tracks tho!

An interesting soundtrack, I liked how it started off with more "Classical" drum patterns before resorting to Amen Breaks in its later half. The different melodies and strange chord progressions were somewhat evocative of its main inspiration, although I do admit that the first track went on a bit too long for me.

I liked the third track the most due to its interesting use of samples, especially the amen break. The 4th track was also pretty good, very erratic.

Overall solid work. I would recommend working into making your "Classical" drum patterns a bit more interesting, be it by studying how other songs do it, or even just trying to copy an amen break! It might be worth it to randomise the notes' individual velocities.

The art also looked really nice! The story flew over my head quite a bit tho lol, seems pretty complex.

Yeah the common issue even i had (after submission) was that my first track was unusually wrong. But that was due to me being stupid and misreading the rules and thinking that only one track was needed..and that one track had to be 3 minutes long. So I apologise for that.

And thank you for mentioning the "Classical" drum patterns, those were the first time i have ever done something like that on purpose, so im really proud of how they came out.

Thank you the kind words and feedback, they mean alot coming you (i really enjoyed your work)

I really like the vibes! The_world_with_no_core.wav was my favorite with how uncanny it sounded (reminded me a bit of the music in the ENA series). Besides in Af4ordable_soul.wav it would be nice to hear a bit more bass though.

Submitted(+1)

These tracks definitely aren't my style of music, but I actually really enjoyed their textures and the rhythms are quite the something.

Favorite track: A World With No Core

Submitted(+2)

Was A Kingdom Of God: Love these chord changes. Well layered atmosphere.

The_World_With_No_Core.wav: again really cool chords. Love the tempo increase.  I like the imagery in the video.

The reason this world was forgotten: Industrial af! Again the video adds something special. Def my favorite track here.

Af4dable_Soul.TGT: I love a good amen break. So invested in the text lol

Great work, very creative stuff.

Thank you for the kind words. It means alot to me.

Here are things I remember about listening to your entry but somehow not commenting

My brother said "What kind of hypnospace outlaw webpage is that?" when he saw it

I asked him what the drum beat used in the final song was and he couldn't answer to which I replied, "it is an amen break"

I liked the second track the most because it reminded me of a track I made that had the same creepy circus energy but this one did it better with it's modulations and speed fluctuations.

Good thing you are active in the discord because I genuinely don't know how I didn't manage to comment on it!

Developer

That's funny. Im glad you liked the second track.

I like the atmosphere in this submission! Some of the melodies could use a bit more spice, but there's some great stuff here too.

Favourite track: A World With No Core

cool and evil sounding. track 3 and 4 are my favorite, i love the woozy synths in the last song mixed with the hard driving glitched-out rhythms (the drums holy shit) and the way it just collapses at the end is awesome.

i want tom waits to scream over "the reason this world was forgotten"

Developer

Im glad to hear that track 3 and 4 is getting the praise it deserves. I think i nailed those two tracks perfectly.

Thank you so much for the kind words. Its means alot to me.

Definitely a unique take on the theme

The true sin is there are only 4 tracks and not more

Developer

Its funny you say that,
initially there was only meant to be 3, but the last track was made cuz i was bored.... and i was gonna work on another one but i got bored.

Thank you for the kind words tho :333

Really solid submission, creepy and well thought of. First track might be a little forgettable, but it only get better going, so I'd say that's not an issue. GG

Developer(+1)

Yeah tbh, i could have done more with the first track.
Thank you for the feedback. :D

So, I listened to/wrote a big long comment for this entry last night, and must have forgotten to submit it, because it’s not showing as posted. I’m sorry that this has been lost, but wanted to say, I love the theming around this one, it’s a very unique concept with a lot of mystery behind it. Well done, and keep working!

Developer

Awh that sucks to hear, i would have been happy to read it.
But thank you for taking your time to say this :33

This particular setting and story are really unique compared to other submissions that I've seen so far. I think that from a storytelling perspective, your songs lack clarity, as without the lore descriptions I felt kind of lost. From a writing standpoint, the dissonance does a good job at invoking a sense of dread, but occasionally comes across as random. Overall, I believe your album has a very unique sound that really elevates the story that you've written out in your brief descriptions, and it makes me want to learn more about the lore of your submission. Good job! (P.S. I also watched the YouTube version of A4rdable_Soul and I think the visuals are very cool)

Developer

To be fair, I agree that my story telling methods musically were sub par. I would love to learn how to fix that as this is like the second or even third time I have ever attempted such a thing (first time of this large of a scale). Thank you for incredibly detailed amount of feedback. Im so happy that I received it.

“The reason this world was forgotten” - sounds creepy and disturbingly and I like it “A4rdable_Soul.TGT” - I like the pacing and rhythm of this one Sounds good!

Developer

I wonder why people seem to enjoy the one track i rushed :sob:

anyways thank you for the kind words, i really appreciate it.

Submitted(+1)

I found listening to this pretty interesting! I think you really nailed the creepy feeling, and especially liked the unexpected but certainly welcome occasional rhythmic segments.

Well done!

Developer

Thank you so much, i appreciate the kind words.

This was cool.

"The reason this world was forgotten" and " A4rdable_Soul.TGT".  The other songs weren't as strong for me and felt a bit all over the place, but then you ended off strong (especially liked track 3).

Also the most unique entry I've listened to so far, which was a nice change of pace.

Love the look of your project page.!

Great work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback, tbf it is understandable. The first track was meant to be one world, the second one was made to sound hollow and empty.
