Aesthetics were top notch, easily one of the nicest itch pages I've seen in the jam as well. Not always easy to modify an existing game like Poker, but the trap cards certainly kept things interesting!
I think it should be clearer that you need to select cards you want to play in the final line up. Currently it just smoothly went over to the final decision without having the change to choose anything.
Maybe after all the cards have been dealt a more concrete pause in the flow and instruct the player to "Choose the cards to play", that would keep most of the gameplay the same, but help with the part where I constantly didn't choose anything since I was waiting on the last card. :D
Good job overall, really well put together!
I lost, but the card transition animations and effects are awesome :D
Loved it! The visuals are great. I couldn't win a single one. It took me a while to understand that you need to select the cards before checking, and I would be just playing like it's normal poker and losing without knowing why
Love the art style! Very interesting trap mechanic.
Awesome stuff, super polished game! Honestly fantastic for a jam entry
This game made me realize that I don’t know how to play poker :(
The visual style is superb!
You need a few more instructions, I didn't quite know what was going on initially. I thought I had good hands but was losing automatically as I didn't realize I had to click two card to submit them as my hand. You should prevent the player from continuing to the showdown until they've done so. It would be nice to have a reminder of what trap I selected as well, in some cases I wanted to play them on myself as well to change my hand. It was a little unclear to follow some of the action from the players and how the traps were working from their side, giving them names would be useful to be able to label actions and such.
The visuals and animations are gorgeous. It's got a lot of polish on the art front. Just needs a bit of framing of the game part and instruction/usability. Hope you do a post-jam version!
Thank you for such detailed feedback! We had in mind these issues, but we were tight on time to implement everything we wanted during the jam. Once we finish with our main game we will publish an improved version with multiplayer, I believe.
The visuals were really amazing! The sound design and effects were great too. I’m not really a fan of card games, but I found myself enjoying your game while playing it. Great job!
Love the art! I didn't know you had to select the cards and I lost, oh well. I like the sound effects and art style you were able to make.
Love me a good card game! I didn't realise you have to click your cards in your hand at the end of a round, and missed an opportunity for a straight :( Fun take on poker!
the art for the cards looks really cool
Love the way you drew the card art! Great game :]]!!
I got my butt kicked, but I like the game.
This is a very cool take on Poker to set traps on cards like that! Wish there was a way to play this IRL with friends haha. Nice work. Art is incredible as well!! You totally curated a vibe with this one.
I could add multiplayer after the jam, if people really like it
I'm not a gamble master, but its kinda cool.
