Somehow the art and textures feel very compressed, including the compatibility icons. I think something might be off in your export settings, as it is reducing the quality image quality a bit too much. Makes it feel a bit like the pirated D&D books I’d find laying around on the internet when I was a teenager.

I agree with others that it feels like there’s a lot missing here. Like, what is the candle about? If I just snuff the candles Blackbeard dies? Or do I have to kill him three times to off the candle? The candelabra seems massive, so how did one of his crewmates carried it around? What’s the hidden entry? (should it be entrance?)

Cool concept. I like the idea of the candles. Unfortunately it feels unfinished. It’d be great to get more fleshed out dungeon locations and encounters.

Fair assessment, thanks

Never played pirate borg but I really like the plot, with its  humongous candelabra and ichor-regeneration mechanic are super flavorful.  A few quick polish suggestions if you do a revised draft: the rumor table use D6 but has 7 entries.,, Don't know if is something standard for the game but seems a bit odd from the outside.

Small typo in the intro text (candelabra OM the middle), and an awkward repetition related to 'near your table'.   If you have space, I would liked  a few lines  describig the hidden entry and a bit more to work with during the advenutre itself.

Developer

Thanks and thanks! I will definitely will fix these, great input!

Your opening text does a great job at setting the mood, but I feel that there were a couple of awkward turns of phrase as I read it.

I know MORK BORG and its related games are pretty bare bones, but I find this adventure a little too bare bones even for MORK BORG.

The map is beautifully done in the MORK BORG style. I think you nailed the atmosphere of the theme!

I'll take it, all fair points! Also written in a very nice way 10/10

I have got to play in a couple sessions of Pirate Borg in the last year, or so, and I can see this fitting in well as a nice little side encounter. You captured the vibe of the game well.

Great to see something for Pirate Borg! Also, I love that it's short and straightforward. There quite a few entries that made me think "do they have to be that long?" :D

Definitely an adventure I could see myself running as a one-shot.

Thank! You!

This guy could also escape and comeback as a recurring villain growing on the side of another plot!

I'm going to check your stuff! 👊

Bold choice to use one of the four pages as a back cover… but the result is that this is more an encounter than a complete adventure.

Developer

That's fair, the Adventure is what's between the start point and the encounter, and I don't think I can push you to an adventure, you decide why you want to go there

Maybe you want to protect your island from this guy.

Maybe you want the riches.

Maybe you want his power.

That's up to you, I present you this guy and why maybe he does what he does, I present you with where you may find him. The in-between is your responsibility within your group and character development.

I love the overall, eerie vibe from this adventure! My only wish is just to make the adventure longer, but other than that, this was amazing.

I should talk to my therapist on why I wanted to please so damn fast and make it a longer adventure. But hmmm I'd say is my will to create!
