this game is massive! I feel like i'm missing out on a lot just by winging it, anybody have a walkthrough guide that is not a video on youtube?

A remake of the 2011 fan game, recreated from the ground up in RPG Maker MV. · By
Visit Kokkol after you've progressed through the Memoir Pages side quest as far as possible (collect all 20, bring them to Branch Castle library, then visit Kokkol).
You should receive the key for the locked house in Hillsdale if you talk to Nero with Ami as the party leader (in the game's second part only). Nero's home (in the game's second part) can be found on an island on the central northern edge (northwest of Palumpu).
"My" Ami sports the following Blue Mage skills (which is all of them, hopefully): 1000 Needles, Bad Breath, Big Guard, Cave In, Cleansweep, Doom, Flamethrower, Goblin Punch, Laser Beam, Maelstrom, Night, Roulette, Sickle Slash, Storm Breath, Virulent Breath, White Wind. Most of them can be obtained on multiple occasions. Also, by obtaining and equipping the Mimic Stick, Ami can use the skills/mechanics Drain, Cure, Jump, Shuriken, Steal.
Apparently not (Lazula is one of the 6 guest party members). The 22 playable permanent party members are (in alphabetical order): Adder, Ami, Babariccia, Bosche, Brindle, Cid, Coral, Darius, Elina, Godot, Jasmine, Laka, Lyric, xxx (obscured - spoiler), Moguel, Nobumasa, Oalston, Oliver, Ovelia, Siegfried, Vahn, Vera. Please refer to the character recruitment guide on the game page on how to recruit the optional characters if you need help.
Story-related. You can't miss the party member whose name I didn't mention, but it would be a story spoiler to reveal this party member's name. I think it was already a mistake of mine to even include this party member in an alphabetical list; if you can guess the first character of this party member's first name, it won't take much imaginative power to figure out their identity.
Crit is its own independent stat in the game. Items add Crit, and thats how you raise it on the character. Luck has more to do with steal/skill chances for abilities. Speed is just combat action order every round. Evasion is also its own stat which some characters can basically break by stacking it so high they become immune to physical attacks. This was a strategy I used for a couple bosses in the game.
If I remember correctly, you need to defeat the boss at the bottom floor of the Aether Mine next (if you couldn't explore the Aether Mine before, you should be able to now after having triggered the cutscene in Organa). The Aether Mine is located just a bit south(west) of Organa, slightly northeast of the Wayfarer's Rest. If you walk from Organa to the Wayfarer's Rest or the other way round, you can't really miss it.
How many memoir pages are there for the side quest? I have 13 so far. At the tail end of the game ready to go to the tower of babel.
The side quest to make the "ultimate weapon" or whatever, asking for a bunch of items like Adamant Ore, e.t.c, where do you get all these items?
I found Edea's Tome, what do I do with it to teach the black mage the ultimate magic or whatever? Nothing happened after I obtained it.
Can you get all sealed legendary weapons? I've only gotten like 6 keys.
There are 20 Memoir Pages in total (which the quest giver mentions at some point). The final one (progression-wise) can be found in the Tower of Babil.
Regarding the crafting side quest, though it has already been mentioned elsewhere on this forum: Adamantium Ore is at least a confirmed drop (not steal) from Black Dragons in the Temple of Kaison (other rare monsters there might drop it too, or not). Vamammoth Fang is a drop (not steal) from Vamammoth, which can be encountered in the ice region on the world map outside of the Tower of Babil. Speaking of which: Pure Nethicite, if I remember correctly, can be found in a treasure chest inside the Tower of Babil.
Bring Edea's Tome to Altney Archives. Then Oalston can learn one of the two ultimate black magic spells. Please refer to Overworld Map 3 in the game's "maps and guides" folder if you have trouble reaching Altney Archives (it's located on the southeastern continent).
I also only managed to obtain 6 Mystic Keys (5 from slaying the Elemental Fiends to gain access to the Elemental Abyss, which is mandatory, and 1 for defeating Bahamut and the eight successor dragons), so I don't know if or how all weapons in the Armory of the Ancients can be claimed.
I have only found 6 keys as well. I had done almost all of the side dungeons before Elemental Abyss and gotten Darius and Vahn's mother weapons. I chose:
- The dagger first because Laka had nothing and it was a huge boost (3 other users as well)
- The staff because 4 characters can use it
- The Sword (Mythraven) for Lyric
- The Darksword because it has higher Vigor than Darius' mom-weapon
- The ninja blade has 200 spirit
- The lance since you have 2 lance users (it's great for Adder)
SAVE before choosing and pick what you need most. On the other 4:
You get a 900 vigor axe from Brindle if you have him as the blacksmith in your camp after the elemental fiends are defeated.
The bow is meh.
The rod is also meh.
You get better hammers for Cid and it has no magic for Vera
Ok, so i finally finished the game, clocked in at 120hours; here's my 2 cents:
Holy shit bugs! SAVE every chance you get!
Game isn't Hard, sure some bosses will throw you off, but its classic jrpg; just equip what you need, change the party up a bit...This forum has helped me greatly, and i hope it helps future gamers the same.
My final boss group was: Vahn, Jasmine (due to this forum suggesting), Oalston with meteo, and Rolan or whatever his name is, the Red mage, he could of been replaced by any t3 healer. Vahn is kinda meh until you get his final weapon, and holy shit is it strong. Jasmine needs a lot of work, but her final build is 30k dmg a turn with pummel, oalston is the goat of dps with meteo, nothing even comes close! And if you're worried he's squishy, just give him those tabs, i got him up to 8k hp!
the story is decent, i'd give it 7/10, for a free game its definitely worth it, but it needs a lot of polish to carry the "final fantasy" title.
anyways, Thank you very much for this fantastic game, Oh, by the way, will there be other remakes?
