I had a really good time with this! I was kind of confused at first, but I was grooving with it after a few minutes. I think part of my confusion came from the controls? With the abilities being numberkeys, my instinct was to use the top number row on my keyboard. That felt kind of awkward when trying to move and target spells with WASD at the same time since it was all with my left hand.

But! You added an awesome control mapping feature! I switched my abilities to be keys around "I", since I was already using "I" to inspect things (which is also a great mechanic!). So I could move with WASD, shoot arcane bolts with "j", inspect things with "i", and clairvoyance with "o". Things really clicked for me after that.

Really like the vibe too, the music is great. Awesome job on this!

We had so much fun playing this! We really liked the random generation. What algorithm did you use? Is it WFC? got to ~3105 when the princess trapped me in a doom tunnel... she provided some solid defense against a goblin. Thanks!

Oh no way! The levels looked so much more varied than the random room placement I'm used to.

Very nice stepwise game. I usually aren't a big fan of this genre, but the smooth style blends the theme perfectly in my opinion. Music was also great, though maybe a little loud haha. Great Submission overall!

Ah I see, I was little bit confused at first on how to play but I got hang of it, not bad, simple. I would only change the color of the thing spreading (doom i think) that hurts you because it's a color too similar to custom shadow/lighting (which looks fun)
Good job on the entry

For anyone confused just in case, here's a little guide: Princess follows you, don't bump into her because it will hurt her (can happen on some corners), make sure to read the message sidebar and to open initial barriers break the crystal

Impressive scope with the abilities and items. I think I would have found it faster to grasp if the spoken lines were in a bubble near the speaker, or if the line appearing in the window had an effect to grab my attention. Was enjoying things until I ran into a hallway that leads to a poison room–but since you can’t turn around without killing the Princess, you are doomed. I guess that fits the theme, but it doesn’t make me want to play again. Maybe I should have used clairvoyance more?

I just replayed and I think it's mainly because using the controls for the abilities felt unintuitive . It took a couple tries until I figured out what to do. But the game itself is pretty straightforward.

Also really liked the shadow/lighting effect. Nice work!

Looks great and the idea of using abilities on yourself is really creative. Some mechanics are confusing, but it’s still fun and has a really nice roguelike vibe

The princess says(in the log on the right) to use it on the crystal(it’s in the top right behind a barrier) not the barriers. hope that helps

I was enjoying this even though it's not my normal style of game. I'm sure with a bit more play time I could figure it out but I wasnt exactly sure how to use some of the items? The mana potion in particular, they were used or at least they left my inventory but my mana stayed at 0%.

Thank you for playing, For the potions you have to use them on yourself, my guess is you targeted somewhere else, I absolutely should have made it so they had to be targeted on self but had it as somewhere else as initially had plans for the princess to have some kind of magic but didn’t have the time.
