That was fun.  I like the looping though I was confused consistently which side of which level led to which other side.  In the end the mine cart got me, like so many others.

Developer

I know it is confusing, some people tought it was natural, some tought it was strange, but that's the main mechanic! Thanks for playing!

very classic and arcade-y feeling, the gameboy soul is surely there, had a fun 5 minutes!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing :D

Thanks for showing this one to me. :D  Like I said on the stream, I think the main thing I would have wanted was to be able to see my score on the Game Over screen.  And, yeah, make it more clear that the mine cart is an enemy?  (I thought MOOOOOAR GOOOOOLD when I saw it the first time and tried to jump into it to get all the gold inside) :D

... I want the soundtrack to this game, and I'm not even kidding.

Thanks so much for traying the game and the feedback and everything!

Pretty fun game loop! I liked the music and how you could shoot in any direction while running away. Almost got to 100 gold!

Pretty simple and fun game, I liked it.

Developer

Thanks!

cute game :) if I could change anything, I would like it to be possible to shoot in both directions, and some kind of enemy life indicator. good job :D

Developer

Actualul You can shoot in both, z left and x right, and thanks for the com! (Yeah it would be cool If the enemies has some life indicator)

Submitted(+1)

oops, sorry! what I meant is shooting with the same button, depending to where the player is facing

that was really nice, i wish there was more to it, i liked the soundtrack and the character is cute :3

Developer(+1)

thanks! :3

Nice game, but not quite quirky... Also you could try to make the game more gameboy-like by only including wasd and 2 other buttons, and also make the soundtrack purely chiptune.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I included z and x as 2 "other" buttons and arrow keys instead of w,a,s,d, I tought it was quirky with the way the character travells the scrren but everybody has its own opinion...

Submitted(+1)

Oh okay, I did not even know that there were 2 "other" buttons... I swear I sounded like someone who has not even played the game...

That was fun! I liked the loop of switching between the floors and that the ammo actually traveled as well.

But that cart sure got me, didn't think it was an enemy and so I died lol

Developer(+1)

I was thinking that people would think that the cart doesn't kill You! I should put that in the description.. thanks for playing anyway!

Submitted(+1)

Neat little game! It was really confusing at first trying to remember which direction on each level led to which other level, but I got the hang of it eventually (right before dying haha). LOVE the music--really great vibe.

Developer

Thanks very much for the comment! Was it too confusing? Because I can put in the description how it works. Right makes you go up,and left make you go down and if you get to the end you restart down or up, like a loop.

Idk, I just found it a little unintuitive personally. It was a pretty minor hiccup so I wouldn't worry too much about it. :)

Developer

Ok!

Yeah, as I said, I thought the "next" level was the next level *down* rather than the next level *up*, so I was confused at first.  It felt "backwards" until I changed the way I was thinking about it.
