How does your game meet GBJam's theme
churro is a real cat. one of our team found him in China, brought him home, and has treasured him ever since, so he's literally their old gold. the coins in the game stick around too, so gold from wave 2 is still lying there when you eventually get a vacuum, and anything you hoard ultimately becomes part of your score.

Probably my favorite game I’ve played in this jam! The graphics and music are super pleasant, the gameplay is fun and well-balanced, and there’s even an endless mode! Really awesome work!

This is peak. I was so happy when I was graced with the real churro after defeating the queen. There are a lot of really nice design choices in this game. The dodge and differing attack patterns of the different enemies makes it just a little more active to play than other survivorlikes. The art is also great with a lot of personality coming from very few animation frames. No notes, this rules.

Technically retreating troops are still fair game under international law, but Churro holds himself to a higher standard

I absolutely loved the game, Churro's animations are on point, I love the bees and the walking fish! Haha
It took me a lot of times to be able to beat the queen, but it was very fulfilling when it finally happened.
Outside of the game, I love the game's page and the illustrations, special the cover art. I'll definitely put more effort into that aspect in future jams!

This game was so cute! It definitely started getting a bit overwhelming as the waves went on, and I felt like I needed to be more judicious about what I purchased early on to be able to buy the better upgrades later. It was a fun game! The structure of not having direct control of attacks and needing to time it based on the rotation was neat. I do wish the dash had a couple more invulnerability frames than it did.
That was very fun, despite the difficulty! I got wrecked by the queen at the end, sadly, but I’ll probably try again later

Amazing job! I spent a considerable amount of time trying my best not to get hit by the bees and the running / dashing things but im not that good with these kinds of games. You could say, that this game is gold.

the controls are very simple, and the objective is very clear
the difficulty curve is also very well balanced. I still had to think about my positioning and how to approach the bosses, even though I had some crazy buffs from the store
