"There’s no saving the planet.
There are, however, packages that still need delivering."
This feels like an amazon add lmao. Great job! The unique controls were fun.
😂
“Amazon ad”
I can’t unsee it. Glad you liked the controls!
I love unconventional controls so. Freakin'. Much. The gameplay loop is nice, but I feel like better theming and graphics would make it better. Also I can't decide if the music is too cheery or just cheery enough for the end of the world XD
Haha, I’m really glad the controls landed. That was the part I was most worried people would hate 😂
Totally fair on the theming/visuals too. The jam build is pretty barebones there, and if I keep developing it I want the world to sell the “everything is ending, but you still have deliveries to make” idea a lot harder.
And yeah… the music may be a little too upbeat for the apocalypse lol. But I was aiming to create a fun disposition between the world ending and what you are up to for the last few minutes of existence.
I actually had so much fun mashing the top left of my keyboard for like 6 minutes straight trying to get all the deliveries done. There's some real strategy in making sure you keep momentum like switching to a different delivery spot when you the one you're going for. Solid tension with the timer and I had a lot of fun with it!! Got all the deliveries in my 2nd run with a final score around 1800 :) Awesome job!!
This comment made my day!!
“Mashing the top left of my keyboard for 6 minutes straight” is pretty much exactly the experience I was hoping for lol. And I’m really glad the route switching / momentum management actually came through too.
1800 on the second run is solid. Thanks a ton for playing!!
We loved the concept, maybe you could put a map so you could track where you're going on the full version if you make the whole city, but overall it was very entertaining!
Thanks! A map/minimap is definitely something I’d want to explore if I expand this into a larger city. Glad you enjoyed it!
I switched to pedaling with two hands and got a lot better. Would be cool to add more terrain, maybe some jumps?
Ooooh…I never even considered using two hands 😅 That’s a great idea!
A bunny hop was actually planned but didn’t make it in time. I’d love to eventually build out a whole city with different terrain and areas to mess around in.
The bigger idea in my head is something a little like Tony Hawk: you get a timed run and decide how to spend it. Make deliveries, hunt collectibles, complete objectives, chase a high score—or just ride around and explore.
It’s your run. Make the most of it.
this was pretty fun! the controls were kinda annoying, but in a good way, like those streamer games. if you added physics balancing and some more obstacles i think this is a really good idea lol, like QWOP but on a bike
Thanks! “QWOP but on a bike” is honestly not a bad description.
I definitely want to play around with the physics/balancing more. More obstacles and ways for the bike to betray you could make it a lot more interesting.
Glad you had fun with it!
I liked the controls and biking around the arena. A little harsh on my fingers but I was having fun :)
I was clueless on how to pick up orders until I saw your comment here in the submission page. You should probably update the game page.
Thanks! I thought I wasn’t allowed to change anything while voting was happening. But I reviewed the guidelines and updated the page.
Seeing that 'F' is how you pick up and deliver items was really helpful! Once we saw that comment, the vision really came together.
Thanks for playing! I didn’t think I was able to change anything during review, but I checked the guidelines and updated the page with the correct controls.
Interesting concept and controls, suprisingly nice to handle after a few tries.
No idea how to play, sadly ...
Thanks for playing! Glad the controls started to click after a few tries.
That’s really useful feedback on not knowing what to do. The goal is to pick up an order, then deliver it to the matching destination.
It sounds like I need to make that much clearer in-game. Appreciate you calling that out.
I enjoyed the movement and controls for the game, offered a new way to play. I did have the issue where I couldn't figure out the way to actually do the deliveries, and felt a little lost in that sense. With some tuning I could see this being a fun game!
Thanks for playing! I checked the jam guidelines and updated the page with the proper controls.
EPIC game pic. Very fun controls!
For nit pick, I couldn't get how to pick up deliveries. Sorry if I missed it somewhere!
The ‘F’ key is for picking up and delivering. I forgot to add a HUD prompt for it. Thanks for playing!!
