The sense of weight in this one is really cool. The character feels weighed down by his coin purse, pushing crates is slow and feels like a real undertaking, and then they hit the ground with this heavy screen shake. Everything feels satisfyingly chunky.

I also really liked the use of colour. The yellow gold pops against everything else and makes the interactable objects really easy to read.

The art is cute and polished, and honestly this already feels like a complete game. I didn’t get softlocked, so as far as I’m concerned, no notes!

Also really happy I could play this one on an actual Game Boy. Super cool.

This is a cute one! I wasn't sure how well a platformer without jumping was going to work but it ended up with more than enough puzzles and mechanics to entertain for its runtime. Visually, I love the goblin sprites (especially the player with his comically oversized sack of treasure), but the environment had some misplaced tiles (scratch that - those were secrets, well played) as well as lacking a bit of variety - outside of "miscellaneous cave space" neither the tileset nor the level design communicated much (are we delving deeper into a dungeon? then make the vertical movement mostly down. in over our heads and trying to escape? then have the player move up. the level design felt quite meandering, and while it's noticeable in a jam game I think that it's critical to look up if you want to expand on the concept into something bigger). The music and sound effects are fine, if a bit repetitive. Besides all that, I did find quite a few bugs, in particular:

  • In the tutorial screen, the character clipped through the floor, so I had no idea what the controls were. In particular, it took me a while to realise that A/B actually shoot coins, that they could toggle buttons, and that there was no interaction with the diamond goblins besides just reaching them.
  • The block that you have to push into an initially hidden area bugged out upon dying and restarting the room, the area never revealed itself and I ended up pushing it over a black void.
  • Upon exiting to the menu on the first screen and returning via New Game, the coins I collected were missing.
  • Some of the block hitboxes were really iffy and stopped registering a push well before they should.

But overall, this is a very solid game that I enjoyed my playthroughs of!

That's all really great feed back. Thank you. I've fixed up all those bugs after the Jam finished,  I did notice that you don't get a sense of getting deeper, that is something I want to correct going forward.

really fun game, well done! the visuals are especially impressive, i love the little goblins.  not having a jump confused me at first but i think that makes this platformer unique and was actually a fun quirk to have to play around. imo the walk speed could be a little faster but that's down to preference.

there are a few bugs, for example i got softlocked on this level because it wouldn't push the block anymore, so i had to reload. sometimes it wouldn't show the coin tossing animation either.

overall i had a lot of fun with this game! it looks and sounds great and the gameplay is fun to figure out. good job!

Not  being able to jump was a fun restraint. The puzzles reminded me of Portal which was fun. I especially liked at the end when it told you all the info of the game stats. I did unfortunately leave someone unsaved along the way. Would definitely play more levels of this!

Very nice game. Well done. The Goblin character is sooo00000 cute when they are crouching lol(little hand animation is just perfect). Great jam.

A simple yet addictive puzzle platformer! I love the idea of using your collected coins as projectiles. It creates a risk reward system where you have to think about how much of your score you're willing to sacrifice. Great entry, well done :)

Nice job, I had fun checking this one out! The gameplay feels great, very smooth flow to it.

This is one of my favourites I've played so far, its so polished and very good level design

There’s a minor bug with the teleporter that causes the sprite to lag, but apart from that, it’s a very interesting and fun game, and it adheres perfectly to the colour palette rule.

The menu stays open and doesn’t respond.

One of the most polished games in this jam I'd say.
The art is minimalistic and works really well.
Game play starts out pretty simple to teach the player the
game and then turns gradually harder and more interesting.
Fun way to incorporate old gold theme by using it as throwables
in levels.
A bit repetitive music, and really slow pushing blocks haha.
Also, sadly I encountered a bug a few levels into the game that
forced me to quit. doing a scene swap while crouched resulted in
blocks not being able to be pushed and coins not being able to throw.
Even going back to main menu did not work as it was broken in the
tutorial as well :(

Anyway, great job :D

I really loved the gameplay and the goblin theme interpretation. I wanted to play it all the way through but i got stuck at one of the levels, great game though.

Thank you for playing. Yeah, unfortunately there are some bugs that can soft lock you in a few levels.
