How does your game meet GBJam's theme
In Kota Chomp, the longer poop sits on the board, the older it gets, until it turns to gold.
This Old Gold is the ultimate food, helping Kota grow stronger and faster.
The more Old Gold you consume, the closer you get to becoming a GOLDEN GOD!
Poop grow old. Poop turn gold.
Eat, grow, poop, and become the golden god of all kots.

What a concept for a game! Very original take on the snake genre. I quite enjoyed the gameplay, including the jump, mouseholes and roaming mice. I realize it's the snake game, but occasionally the controls felt a little unresponsive, especially after just hitting something.
Really novel stuff and great game length (ha!)!
Neat take on the snake game, and I like how you were able to emulate cat sounds with a gameboy.
Fun snake game! Really liked the mice as that really made it very different form normal snake. Enjoyable. Also very gameboy-y with that lag.
Cool take on classic snake, this game has so much personality. Just as the basic mechanic was starting to get old, it surprised me with the evolution and it's an interesting way to increase the difficulty. Nice visuals and audio as well!
Holy moly this game looks and feels like I could be playing it on my own physical Gameboy, it nails the feeling so well. And it's such a unique and interesting take on the snake game also. This one was fun to play and very unique too
very adictive snake game n_n i almost got 100 XD i liked it
Damn, how did you come up with this? It’s a pretty unique take on the game jam theme—I really like it. The graphics, and the game itself, are really fun, yet they fit perfectly with the Game Boy style.
played this on my gameboy. What a fun twist on the old snake game! Impressive and fun entry, great job!
Love the title with the name inside kota's open mouth, and the giant feet looming over the room are a great touch. poop aging into gold until it's the best food on the board is a brilliant take on old gold. nice job
My highest score was 170, but I loved every minute of this game!
That was fun, I had never thought of moving food in a snake-like game!
Really funny idea and such a weird take on Snake in a good way. I liked how the poop slowly becomes gold and suddenly you actually want to eat it. Really fun entry!Very fun game! Gameplay was smooth, and the sounds and soundtrack were great!
This was fun! Loved the theme and art!
Poop grow old, poop turn gold is such a simple and effective tagline. This game was hilarious and so much fun to play!
This is a fun and interesting implementation of the Snake genre. I like that the player gets a break or reset from being super long, but we get wider! I didn't even think to interpret "old" as time or age to use as a mechanic, and having an obstacle to dodge but later becomes a desired pickup is fun. Forcing a complete restart on colliding with a wall or yourself is brutal and kinda unfun, but having multiple lives and retracting a bit is a nice solution. I didn't exactly understand the chopping your body in half and then being able to quickly eat some of it back up. Seemed like I'd get myself trapped and bonk a number of times until I lost.
Fun and intriguing take on such a simple seeming genre. Great work, keep at it!
Hahaha, what a funny game! Really enjoyed it, sfx are great. Love it when the cat bites its own body, did this many times just for the joke!
IF MY OWN CAT EATS POOP! which he thankfully doesn't and at least it shows that you can't eat fresh poop. Just golden ones ... :D
Great job to the team, example of how to take a good spin on Snake.
I love how you innovated on the snake gameplay! I couldn't keep my poop old enough, those damn rats. Great job! Love the art
i loved the variation on the snake-like game play! the theming is so funny, absolutely earned its 5 stars on quirkiness.
