Cool art and cool game!

Gorgeous sprite work and very expressive sprites in this game! The gameplay was also quite engaging and I found myself accidentally spending too much more often than not haha. Could have used some BGM but besides that, I think it was really polished.

I think it's an interesting idea to have gold serve both as currency and HP. Didn't take me long to get used to the combat and movement and I thought it was dynamic for a GB Inspired game. The only complaint is that there could have been background music, but other than that, great job.

Gold as your hitpoints was a neat idea, having to choose how much "life" to spend at the shop to get stronger is a cool idea. The movement system was a bit weird and took a bit to get used to, but was a nice way to have a more dynamic combat system within the GameBoy limitations. Well done!

The sprites are really, really good :) The gameplay itself was okay! I wish the enemies weren't that tanky though, combats can drag on for a long time.

The one thing that's missing is music, and that game would be far more enjoyable ! great job on the submission!

This is really well done. Some more sound design would have been amazing but I know time was short. There's lots of things you could do with this gameplay too! Lots of interesting ways you could make new monsters or bosses.

I am getting "Valbrace" vibes from this game - great work on the game feel for the enemy encounters.

And I am digging the graphics - lots of neat enemy designs!

And the money/ gold you pick up being your health is a nice touch - an interesting use of risk/ reward!

This was fantastic, and I love the rat sprite so much! It is such a shame this has no music at all, its my biggest gripe but beyond that this is really cool and I may be revisiting :)

Really love the simplicity of the game! Although some bgm would be nice, but despite that, it's a well made game!

This is super cool! I love the art and the inventory system. 

I loved it; the management mechanic of using gold as both health and currency was interesting, and I also liked the enemies (and their variants). The art is cute, though the only two things that felt off were the lack of music and a bug where, if you equip the ring that grants money on every hit, it doesn't disappear upon death—meaning you start with it equipped from then on (which breaks the game and makes it too easy). I couldn't defeat the infamous slime at the end; I got used to dodging to the sides..

Simple to learn tough to master! I couldn't get past the shield rat but its pretty clear that there's plenty in store here.

This is indescribably fun!
