The gameplay, graphics, and sounds that you did have were amazing! It felt like you got a game straight from a gameboy cartridge too! The theme was cute as well! Overall amazing project and great level design!

well i'm sorry for last time. i deleted that last comment i just posted, you can still make games with anything you want to use, the game is still good. love it! i should not have regarded these extra palettes :(
You can and should ignore the extra palettes - they are a result of your choice of emulation, not the submitter's intent to circumnavigate the rules. More specifically, the game is an actual .gb ROM, so it is well within the limits of gameboy-like, and the default is a four colour palette.
Please also be nicer in your comments. It's not reasonable to suggest anyone "go quicker" to add music to their jam entry. The jam should be a relaxed way to feel out a concept.
The balloon gameplay is so fun! That paired with really good stage design made this game an outstanding experience. Great job!
This was super cute and fun! The balloons felt like a really fresh take on a simple platformer like this, and the ending hit me hard.
I loved this one, such a fun playthrough!
Very well designed levels, with the gradually harder challenges!
Definitely want to try out the Jump&Run possibilities of GB Studio aswell! :)
Really good game 🙌 I was only missing some music to complete the feel.
Played til the end :) great job!
Why play with my heart like this >:[
The overall idea is really neat, I do wish the 1.5 (or 3 block hohever you look at it) lift was a bit more clear/explained but you can figure it out quite fast. Puzzles felt neat as the introduced more concepts and quirks around the movement with the balloons.
Graphics wise the game looks lovely, I still don’t like the white flash transition and the sprites are crips, well done on those.
I do wish there was some music for the game, that is the only part I miss, but the sound effects are neat.
Lovely theme interpretation, good story, shame on you (/jk), well done!
What a unique way to apply the theme! It's creative and I love it! I really enjoyed this platform experience and it forsure has the old school gameboy soul. Huge shoutout on the level design was also very very well done and had no issues. Lovely work
I really liked the balloon mechanic, its great. Also the dog is cute. Great job!
The dog sprite was perfect and I liked how the game is somewhat upfront in its conclusion. Lovely progression and great level design. It took me a moment to figure out how to best balloon, but when I got the hang of it it started to flow nicely. Congratulations on this entry.
Wasn't sold on the mechanic till I got the second balloon and started to understand you could pull them mid-air. A really, really good platformer mechanic. Could work very well in a lot of the classic platformer games. Also the kind that makes you wonder if there aren't some places you could cheat the level through precise movements. Though the theme interpretation isn't the most obvious nor really present in the gameplay mechanics (it's funny cause the old part is more present than the gold one, to the contrary of most games), it makes up for a clean emotional story ;). Well done !
No fair, I cried enough during the programming phase of the game jam, I wasn't planning on crying during the playing part too!
But seriously, what a cute fun game! Definitely deserves a spot at the top of this jam.
