I do love collages. I did also like this game. You could feel the love put into every bit of the UI, sprites, and script.
It all feels so dreamy too. Memories are WILD.

Finally got around to playing this and I really enjoyed it! I made a lot of notes while playing so I'm going to try to put them into coherent sentences! :)
From the main menu, I could already tell it'd be good! The visuals and audio were immediately stunning, I love the whispering sound put onto it!! The concept is really interesting! "You don't...... recognise me?" coupled with the little crying face made me immediately love Dorian regardless of how suspicious he is throughout the whole thing! Most of my rambling in my notes are about how much I love him... You really did a good job of portraying his character and the side expressions really did a lot to help with the fact that his face is covered! His inability to answer like anything was really fun... The MC's story is certainly really interesting to me, certain parts of the game really hit a lot harder than I expected.. On a related note, the transitions between the past version and the present day are done really nicely! The warmer and cooler colours contrast works very well in my opinion!! The point where it keeps switching between them was so fun to see! I'm a little worried I'm missing a lot of the story by not finishing it all yet.. The portrait visuals look so good!! "I always wanted to be someone other than myself." / "Because I felt I could become beautiful is your eyes." ..I don't know how to put my thoughts reading that quote into words, but wow! I really love so much of this game... The face reveal was done really well too!
Overall, it's a really good game!! My only issue is that it could've been fixed by now, but right-clicking to go back doesn't seem to work for me, but that's nothing too major.. Thank you for putting so much effort into making this amazing!! :)
Ooh, I love how surreal and dreamy the mood for this is! The sprite work is absolutely stunning, too--so incredibly varied and expressive, and does an incredible amount to illustrate Dorian's emotions in spite of the mask covering his face. I also found the grayscale + pops of red to be incredibly effective in helping set the tone, and delineate action from memory. Beautiful work!
What an amazing game! The art is absolutely FANTASTIC!!
I also loved the writing and the way the narrative goes! and the Anamnesis ending genuinely caught me off guard. The music was great and fit the atmosphere perfectly!
Seriously, amazing work from the whole team!!!
I really love your art! You can tell a lot of care went into drawing every single sprite, which really brings the characters to life. The itch.io page is also very well designed. However, the buttons at the bottom take a moment to load each time they are clicked—perhaps that could be optimized a bit.
OMG what an amazing game! The dialogue and narrative sructure are so clever, and I'm in awe of the gorgeous art as well, kudos to the team! The music really fits the vibe of the story, it was so nice to listen to it and it never got repetetive, even as I replayed for all the endings. And also, I LOVE how animated Dorian was, you did such an amazing job with the poses and the mini-jumpscares, those really made the story come to life.
I really appreciate the deeper commentary underneath the kidnapper/amnesiac story, and I must admit, the plot twist in the Anamnesis ending caught me completely off guard, that was really well done. Thank you for making this, what an ambitious project!
I love ittt! the writing of it is so great. I like the dialogue and how the storyline progresses. It's much heavier than you think it is. The realization could be felt directly. It's actually a well-done game. genuinely. Good work on developing this game. Love it so much. Unlike a typical visual novel storyline, this is very unique
I really enjoyed the game! Much more complex than it actually seems, both the art and writing are really good, but what impressed me the most is how they work in tandem to have the desired effect on the player. I really appreciated how you set the situation with the first dialogue (the best interaction of its kind I have seen until now), and then slowly make us understand it is not exactly like we thought. On the art side, the different mediums and designs blend together very well, and I really liked the idea of the black and white scenes mixed with sepia. The music is also good, but I have to point out that the ost for the first discussion to me felt too short for the dialogue itself, it would have been better if the ost was longer.
IMPORTANT:
Please try to avoid using the Load function as much as possible while playing, and keep going even after you reach an ending!
The game is designed to continue across multiple endings, and you won’t be able to experience the full story properly if you stop or reload too often.
I really recommend continuing through the endings to piece together what’s actually going on!
EDITED POST-BUGFIX:
I really enjoyed this! I think your UI is very pretty, sprite characterization is effective, and the writing is really solid. I absolutely adore how well you've characterized a character wearing a mask; he's emotive, expressive, and he makes you feel a little bad for him in just the way his character should. I think the storytelling is really unique and powerful. The only complaint I have at all is that without using the walkthrough, the game's different endings feel hard to navigate. However, that's a small, fixable issue, and regardless you've got something really special here.
Congratulations on the release!

Hello! A few patches have been made to fix bugs and make the intended progression a little clearer. They’re relatively small changes, but the game should be easier to navigate than before.
If you ever get stuck, please feel free to check the walkthrough on the game page.
We put a lot of effort into this project, so I hope you’ll enjoy exploring the different endings!
Very compelling premise, and with art direction that works well with the story! I was playing in-browser, and the way the frame of the game and UI interacted with the background of your itch game page made for a neat aspect of immersive experience - and the collage touches throughout leant themselves well to the story. I got Ending 3 a few times, and was enjoying the added info on the replays, though like one of the other commenters on the page itself I eventually hit an error message that I couldnt progress past (pic below). That aside, a really intriguing experience, and a very cool usage of sprites and posing for Dorian. Well done!!

It's a nice game! The story was intriguing, though I do feel like there was a lot of pauses or conversations that covered ground that had already been covered, and I agree with the other comment about having to just select every option at times. The visuals were pretty cool though, with the unsettling collages appearing.
Everything about this is truly amazing, the interpretation of art and the story truly made me tear up because there are parts where i relate to this most as an artist, Dorian for me a little bit funny i don't mind his company, i love him but at the same time i feel alerted everytime i'm with him, its all amazing no other words i can say
Character design is amazing! Some cons would be a bit of some auto skipping happening when choices are pressed, but it didn’t deter me from the story.
The art is great and presentation fantastic and while I found the story intriguing... it eventually started to move towards impenetrable. Clearly the character was stone walling me, which is part of the plot, but a bit more direction rather than just select every option until progression happens. There is a lot great happening here and it feels like the game doesn't want me to experience it.
That sounds like a larger problem than it actually is, but it's still there.

Really nice job with this, the visuals were great and the mystery was very intriguing! Nice use of music as well!!!
