How did you use AI?
Claude & Codex
AI use was planned from day one and logged task by task
Python, Node, ffmpeg and openmpt123: the AIs wrote scripts instead of drawing or recording by hand, so the sprites, the floor, the portraits and the audio can all be rebuilt from code.

How does your game fit the restriction?
the whole game, menus included, is played with the four directions and nothing else: no action buttons, no clicks, no on-screen buttons.

This is a really polished experience. It's clear there was a lot of thought that went into the depth of the experience! Good work and really good concept.

Developer

Thank you so much! Really glad the depth came through. 🐱

This is really fun! I loved the feeling of old school kart racing around, great art style and sounds and music. Very impressive with different maps, different floors, obstacles, jumps, balancing and storage mechanic - very cool! The "hiest" references confused me and seem a little out of place, are we gathering food scraps and rubbish to feed the cat? Otherwise, I loved it - really well done!!

Developer(+1)

Thank you, that means a lot! And fair question: Lupin is on a strict diet, so he’s secretly stealing the breakfast crumbs (and bacon!) and stashing them in his DIET bowl while Otto cleans. I should have made that clearer in-game. Thanks for playing!

art direction is very cool, great job

Developer

Thanks a lot, really appreciate it! 🙏

The game is fun and has a decent amount of challenge to it.  Here is my playthrough:

Developer

Thanks for hosting the jam and for playing through it! Loved watching your run.

This is a great game idea, and very clean and well made- my only complaint would be that the hit box is really unforgiving. Really fun though!!

Developer

Thank you! Good point on the hitbox, noted. Walls and furniture are a bit too strict for a Roomba this chunky. Glad you had fun anyway!

Well made, kinda reminds me of the special levels in sonic games, but the concept is fun and you've added more difficulty with the overboard mechanic. well made and polished.

Developer

Thanks! The Sonic special stage comparison is a great one. I’m glad the overboard mechanic added some spice. 😄

DUDE THIS IS OUTSTANDING, you nailed the vibes of super mario cart on SNES and the gameplay and art style art so good! GREAT JOB

Developer

Thank you!! SNES kart vibes were exactly the goal, so this makes my day. 🏎️

Super fun to play! The game dynamics are well polished and the music is spot on.

Developer

Thanks! The music was a lot of fun to build, glad it hit the spot. 🎶

I absolutely love the visuals. Did not expect it to be 3D!

You obviously spent a bunch of time on the little things ("milk spin!" got me. Hilarious).

I would've loved to know more about how exactly you used AI. Art as well etc?

Developer(+1)

Thank you! “MILK! SPIN!” is Lupin’s fault. 😹
On AI: Claude and Codex wrote scripts (Python, Node, ffmpeg) instead of drawing or recording by hand, so the sprites, the Mode 7 floor, the portraits and the music are all generated from code. The floor is a software Mode 7, SNES-style.

Very nice presentation and polish! Game is a blast too, well done.

Developer

Thanks a lot, glad you had a blast! 🙌
