Solid style but this one gave me quite the frustration. Tight jumping, Maze with dead end that froze you, repeatedly catching candle to have heat source and now I am stuck here in this frozen purgatory.

This is a beautiful game with an incredible presentation, but with gameplay that's a little rough around the edges, which is enough to stick out with how immaculate the rest of the game is.

The boost being with WSAD is fine for static jumps but there are a few running jumps where it competes with movement and feels really awkward. Level 3 is a big difficulty spike with the amount of precision jumps needed to get around, a level of which is never demanded of the player again. Getting an item off of a ledge needs some pretty finicky timing, and I'm pretty sure I managed to exploit a level (I think it was 7, the one where you have two weights and a torch and need to loop around a room to open a switch in the center) by throwing an item diagonally down into a corner you need to boost to get over, and picking it up in the tiny frame window where it's grabbable before it slides far enough off the ledge.

That said, like I said before, this is still a very good game! To comment on the art feels like reverse-nitpicking, there are a lot of really small things about the aesthetics that add up to make something that's truly, genuinely great. The sound design is minimal but what's there feels intentional and adds so much to the atmosphere. And the endings of the last two levels were genuinely really cool and unexpected moments. This has also been one of the strongest implementations of the limitation I've seen so far, great job!

Love the art and concept, and the gameplay feels good, some SFX and music would go crazy with this. It also made me think a good bit with the level designs and puzzles, which I appreciate!

soft locked myself here (candle pic) the first couple times I tried to figure out the throwing mechanic😂 though I suppose you guys put easy Restart in and the stages aren't that long so no matter really. But then just a bit later in stage 2 I can't get past a certain point because I just keep freezing. I get past this part (the pic w candle), throwing the candle down and then getting past the gap using the weight throw---I do all of this smoothly, going as fast as I can and not getting stuck on anything, but I just can never progress past the part where you fall down after the weight gap + the few steps up afterwards and then the drop. (frozen picture). I always freeze too quick before I can progress past this part. Unless I'm dumb/ missing something obvious, or going the wrong way somehow, I don't understand how anyone would be able to get past stage 2.

I'm glad you have a level select so I could try other levels! Awesome game, just that one critique for now abt level 2

(Not the dev, but) You can take the weight back to where the candle is, throw the candle up, and then boost yourself with the weight and perform the gap jump with the candle. It took me a couple of tries to figure out too.

oh wow yeah didn't even think of doing that lol I was just losing the candle early and throwing the weight to clear the gap... it really was just me not figuring it out then 😂 thanks for that!

Absolutely love the art style, also the fact that you have a chance to save yourself while an ice cube comes in clutch lol, nice job!

The art style is BEAUTIFUL!!! I struggled a bit with the jumps and throws, though, and ended up getting stuck... It's a shame I couldn't explore more of your game, but I still really enjoyed what I got to experience!! REALLY NICE GAME, BEAUTIFUL WORK!!!

got stuck a bit on the 2nd level trying to do a large jump up - cool game though

The artstyle slaps. Especially love how the frozen version of the slimey boy looks. The throwing to throw yourself is a bit weird though. I feel throwing in the direction of the mouse cursor would have worked better. Well done!

The art is very impressive- I also love the vibe of the main menu and the fact it's included even!
and the ability to still move when frozen for those small chances you can still reach the flame is great gamedesign!
The throwing mechanic feels a bit vague with my casual first playthrough. I was mostly dropping it tbh.

Also I genuinely couldnt complete that second level with the long time without fire T^T
Still a nice game either way!

Already some extra work on the menu sounds. Some text are off-screen but its easy to infer what it means. Amazing Presentation

I like the art style, the game has a nice and cozy vibe to it. Also enjoyed the level design, it clearly had some good thought put into it. It was a little annoying having to restart a few of the longer levels over a small mistake but that's mostly just a skill issue on my part. Overall great game!
