I loved this game! Funny enough I watched the movies last week out of coincidence 😅
To-do’s were fun and the paintings with following eyes were a super nice detail! The fact that you made all this art! you rock!
A small piece of feedback, I would have made the dark tone outside characters view a lot darker, almost non-visible. I think that may have pump the feeling of “where did things went, they were just behind moment ago”. I noticed things indeed stopped moving when in light and start moving outside the area, pumped my limitation rating because of that. Overall great job!

YAY! I managed to keep my job!

It's a very fun game and I like how chill it is despite it being a terrifying job in real life. Is this perhaps inspired from the movie, Night at the Museum? Man, I wanna watch that movie again.
I also love the paintings! The statues and dinosaur are amazing, too! I was curious what they do if I wasn't looking or near them. So I played again and observed. I would like to imagine that they just want to hang out together. I want to befriend them and politely ask for them to return before 6 a.m.
They get to have fun! I get to keep my job! Win! Win!

Thanks for playing and congrats on your continued employment!! The game is absolutely inspired by Night at the Museum (and I rewatched all the movies while working on art lol). I love watching all the statues and paintings hop around when I play the game. I'm kind of wishing I made a secret ending where if you take out all the pieces of art and bring them to life, they all get to escape hahaha-
I love this game so much, the little thwumps when they are hopping and the creative idea was awesome. First time I played it I have to admit I was at the climate control just enjoying making music by rhythmically tapping up and down.
Amazing pixel art and really fun and polished experience!
This was a very funny experience to play, goddamit Mona Lisa! XD Didn't understand at first I could interact with the front doors, so I assumed it was already locked, but that's fine. The huge dino skeleton even managed to jump scare me when he wandered off to the other room, lol. Amazing work, loved it! ☆
This one rocks! Got it on my second try. Super impressive that you did the coding, art AND the music, that's no small feat, especially for two weeks, ESPECIALLY for your second jam. You've got a lot of talent and I'd love to see what you do next!
Only one small bit of feedback: When locking the door, you show us "Press E to ESC", well my brain immediately pressed the escape button, quitting out of fullscreen lol. I'd not use ESC since it's so coded in people's minds, and use an X or back button or something else. Super tiny thing.

Thanks so much!!! All the classical paintings were definitely my favorite sprites to draw! :D Thanks for pointing out the thing about ESC. Admittedly the game is not really designed for full screen mode so I didn't really think of that. Maybe in the future I'll stick to just E to close the menu... Thanks for playing!
This is such a cute game! I got fired the first time because I forgot about the cobwebs. But then I played again and made it through the night! Love the Night at the Museum reference, I need to go watch that again now! It'd be cool if this had more levels that got progressively harder (maybe post jam?) I would absolutely play the heck out of this if it was longer. Great job!
The art, polish and gameplay of this game is just so good!!! I enjoyed playing through it so much, the picking up and putting in place stuff was so satisfyng too. I can definitely see myself playing this more when its expanded, it has so so so much potential!!!!

Excellent execution on this idea! The color-coded statues, the painting silhouettes, the notes for the wall panels, all great touches!
This is sooo fun!! At first I thought they were gonna attack you but I really like that you have to keep everything in place and they like to sneak away - especially the paintings with the googly eyes LOL such a charming touch! I'm not sure I got the theme as much from this but every other category so well done!
The pacing was a bit challenging like others mentioned, but I got it after a few tries! Nice work!! Would love to see an expanded version of this if you make more post-jam (:
Getting fired has never been so fun! I really liked how you built the limitation into your game. The art is fantastic, and the way you ensured that colors and shapes matched up for all of the different art pieces made it easy to reset the museum without requiring any overbearing UI. This was great to see. That said, I'd be curious to see how your game would play differently if you'd adjusted the pacing; I think it could have been even more fun to discover the museum's the core mechanic on the second night after a "normal" first night that introduced the player to their expected chores rather than disclose it upfront and on the itch page.
Fun entry! I really liked how the statues were color-coded to their bases, and the paintings used silhouettes to indicate which subject went where, it was a good way to indicate to the player where things go without spoonfeeding.
It took me 2 tries, but I did end up not getting fired! I couldn't tell - do each of the subjects get "triggered" at a certain time, or does it happen randomly?
Thanks for playing!!! The different art objects jump out randomly throughout the night, but there are some rules to prevent too many things being active at once (the max number of active art changes through the night to increase difficulty), and cooldowns to prevent objects that were just returned from jumping out again very quickly.
A bit unrelated, but one of my favorite things to do is to take everything out of its proper place and just watch them all jump around lol. :D
This was super cute, I dig your style
When I was reading the todo list I was pretty worried at first that I wouldn't know where the homes for each piece were. But you did a really good job indicating where they belong even without a pointing arrow. The silhouettes for classic paintings were a nice touch and really gave them some more character.
My only criticism is that I did have some trouble getting the browser version to fit on my display. It took a lot of tweaking to make sure your view wasn't getting cut off. I'd recommend allowing a fullscreen option for maximum portability.
Some day I hope to be swole enough to lift a dinosaur over my head. Great game!
This game is so charming!! I got fired on my first playthrough because I focused too much on putting everything back lol, but then I completed it on the second go! The pixel art is very good, especially the animations!! It's also a really cool take on the limitation! Good work!! :D
great game, was really fun seeing all the sculptures and art jump around, i failed my first time cause i couldn't find out where the Zeus statue had wandered off too. love the art style and the audio! very well done!!
Super charming! I really like the art, and the little hops the art pieces take.
Yay, I'm not fired! Haha, I loved being able to pick up an entire T-Rex display and carry it over my head XD. This game was a lot of fun! The first time I saw Munch's The Scream jumping around, it caught me completely off guard lol. I thought the audio and visual cues were really well done too. It was always clear what needed to be done and where things belonged, so I never felt lost or confused. The art was really charming, and I especially loved the little eyes on the paintings as you carried them around. Such a fun take on the limitation, and really well executed. Great job!
The sprites for each of the art pieces were super charming and the implementation of the jam's themes was really well done! The gameplay itself was a lot of fun and it was pretty engaging to try and gather up all the museum residents before the time ran out. Fantastic work!
I missed a cobweb and got fired D: But this was really fun!! The sprite work is wonderful and the auditory and visual feedback are very intuitive. It’s a huge QoL feature to have the exclaim icon whenever a painting or statue goes out of place. I like the sounds they make as they walk around too. Amazing game!!
