An anomaly game where I made the house way too big

Pretty good game and concept. I feel like there could be a few changes like others have already mentioned but even then as a game it is pretty fun. Would love to see a time mode and seeing how many you can get in a set time if you plan on expanding the game at any point.
This reminded me of observation duty! Really nice game, but I got like first event was a monster, then got to infinite mode and got 4 monsters in a row (I got suspicious at the last one so I lost lol). I love the sprites! The dialogues are fun and I enjoyed playing.
thanks for the feedback! there was a point where i didn't know what to write for the dialogues so i just put whatever was coming out my mind
This is quite a nice concept for a game! I quite like how some anomalies are subtle while some are just straight in your face, I guess some monsters just don't care to fool anyone. Also, why people still live here in this village is beyond me. Gameplay is straightforward and easy to understand, and the sound is nice too. The room layout might need some improvement, but overall it's a nice little game.

Hey, thank you for the comment! i like your suggestions a lot, i think i will implement them after the jam!
Creative approach on the anomaly genre, well done! I like the visuals and sounds, but the room was a bit too big.
thank you! I got the idea from a game of an older jam that i liked
Really interesting game. The atmosphere is great, the art / audio direction are really nice too. But I do find the house to be a bit too big. Also I didn't do that well since I have a terrible memory, but that's on me, so all in all great one
Thanks for your comment! I think the main problem here is the size of the house, I don’t have a single comment without complaining about it lol, i also think that it would make it easier if it was shrunk down
It's very charming! The house is quite large, but it was an interesting concept and I loved the sound design!
Thanks for the nice comment !
the house was huuuuuge, but so pretty, very cool concept, but my memory is so bad i gave sugar to the monster hahah :D
if the house was a little bit smaller, the game would be 10/10. I couldnt find the real book and got stuck for a while with the one from a bookshelf. anyway, great game and such a fun idea!
just good, eficient and a giant house lol
The house is too big, and it feels even bigger because you've to memorize where everything is. That's my only complaint. I liked the art, and the idea fits the theme perfectly.
Hey, I like the game it's fun :) A tad difficult for me as I have aphantasia (can't see images in my head) so memory games are hard. But your work on the plot, atmosphere and gameplay are nice, it's just a personal memory difficulty. Your visual and audio assets choice works well and I love your book drawing !
Maybe a small tip about level-building: I would have made the rooms a bit smaller. I prefer small areas where things are meaningful rather than big spaces that give an emptiness feeling (while your game is not empty at all). I don't really know why but it gives an odd feeling.
Hey, thanks for your comment! the difficulty of the game might also be on my side, some of the anomalies I made are pretty hard to spot but to balance it out i made some really easy, then i made all of the ones that seemed fair to me, then my older sister playtested and she couldn't make it past the first monster, so I might change the difficulty. the book drawing is probably the best pixel art I made, I'm really proud of it! Also I did notice the rooms were way too big but I forgot how tilesets worked when making the map and spent 2 hours to make it and i had no motivation to continue
Don't panic, I still love your game !
I didn't make it past the first monster either but I love the concept, the gameplay works, the atmosphere is well made... There are many good things in your game, and balancing difficulty / level construction is super hard especially in such a short time.
Btw I'll upload an updated version of my game in a few minutes. I'm to tired to complete the narrative part today, but I tried to follow your advice and also took time to write a short tutorial. Thanks again for your feedback, it helps !
